Oh wow! Thank you thank you for the photograph of how you set up your shots. I have been trying to photograph some of my portfolio pieces and it never looks as professional as I would like. I have been half tempted to hire someone.

I hope you’ll share any tips you have about laying the bamboo floor. I have the same project ahead of me and also lots of heavy stuff that I wish would move itself. Do you have “super sliders”? I felt like the strongest girl in the world when I moved our china cabinet on carpeting, by myself, to paint—they really help and you don’t have to worry as much about scratching the new floor when moving all back in. Also, do you have a rule-of-thumb as to when you paint the ceiling the same color as the walls (like in the bedroom)?

Yep, that’s my DIY lightbox! I use GE Reveal bulbs (100 watts) for three of the lights. In the second lamp from the left, I have a 60 watt GE Reveal bulb to soften some of the shadows. And Lili, yep… it’s either now or in January. I’m so eager to get it done now. The carpet that’s in there is so gross!

this would be a good thing to learn to do since I”ll probably fall out my window soon trying to get that hard-to-catch winter lighting.
