Max 365 Perpetual Calendar

I noticed Vignelli’s black and white perpetual calendar (which is currently on my wishlist) in a couple of recent catalog photos. Here it is in a home office from Pottery Barn:

And here, in a photo from DWR:

Obviously they’re trying to sell to their furniture to you (so they’re relying on good photography and styling). Both photos are pleasing, but my eye just goes straight to that calendar. It just makes me want one all the more.

Luckily, it’s a classic and I don’t think it will be disappearing anytime soon. If you’re looking for one, you can find them here or here (and several other places, I’m sure).

  • I actually cut out that picture and pasted into my design notebook. I agree with the first person that the PB table is hideous, but I fell in love with the sunshine, turquoise double gourd vase with little red round flowers, and the big graphic numbers.

  • i’ve had my eye on one of those bad boys for some time, now, too! my eye immediately goes to anything with large numbers or letters- for me they are such a great touch anywhere.

  • Massimo is the man! The perfect (in every way) calendar.

  • so funny you should post this because i was thinking the exact same thing last week when the PB catalogue showed up in the mail. and i STARE at the calendar NOT the room!!!

The first one it´s so perfect!!! i really love it!

  • yes- I love it. I have bought two perp cals for wedding gifts- both from DWR- one was a wooden one…They are lovely gifts..I hope someone gets you one! And one for me :)

  • I want those pink files in the white file sorter in the DWR photo. That is so fresh and clean. Do you think it would look as good with bulging files and dog-eared folders?
Oh and I love the orange lamp in the Pottery Barn photo. Yum.

  • It’s fab. I love how it’s used in that otherwise hideous office from Pottery Barn, though think it gets lost in the DWR photo (where the furniture is much better but the styling is dreadful)
