Style: June ’08

Thank you for your help in locating the skirt I couldn’t think of. Isn’t it cute? I was looking for the favorite things skirt, but I really could have gone with anything from made with love by hannah – everything there is adorable. I love that she makes her clothes in tons of sizes too, so you’re covered from x-small up to 3x.

I saw the shoes in brown via Oh Happy Day, but I love them in green. I think they need to be paired with a neutral bag. Well… a navy and white polka dotted bag would be pretty fantastic too, but I’ll go with a neutral bag in this case. ;) The Soirée Drawstring Purse is great because it’s simple, but the fabric peeking out from the pleats just sends me. Most of the bags by crystalyn kae have little fabric details like that, and they’re all vegan-friendly too.

There’s a lot going on with the skirt and shoes, and even the bag. A fairly plain tee (the one above is from J. Crew) seems like a good counterpoint to everything, and it keeps the outfit from getting too frou-frou. I’d add a brass necklace and call it done. I’ve been wanting a necklace from Manic Trout for a long time now – she always has a nice selection.

I hope you enjoy these style posts as much as I enjoy putting them together! It’s a lot of fun, even though it is dangerous for my pocketbook.

I love the shoes and skirt as well!

I wanted to put a shout out to another great vegan shoe site that I found. Vegetarian Shoes and Bags.

I think they have great looking shoes (boots and more, actually) and what thrills me even more is that they are affordable, as well! Check it out!
