I like the design boards themselves- use them as wall art in the new office! Isn’t it fun to decorate “on the cheap”- my favorite way to do it!

Hi Nicole! Your post jumped out at me because I saw the Helmer drawers from IKEA. I figure you must like them, because you bought them twice! I know the drawers don’t have tracks and are not built for heavy contents, but are you happy with them for office supply storage?

    Hi Nicole!

I was just wondering if you know whether or not your paperclip desk is still being sold anywhere. I’ve loved it ever since I came across your blog almost a year ago, but never thought to ask where it was from. And now that I know, I’m not sure it’s still available!

Thanks for all your great posts. I don’t comment often, but I am always reading!

Although I like both, I vote for the red chair version. I have the same IKEA shelves in my own office. They are such great storage….hold much more than you would think. You have such a great style.

Emily, I love the Helmer drawers! I fill them up with stacks of paper (which can get kind of heavy), and they’ve held up just fine.

Kacia, it looks like they’re not carrying my desk anymore. There is still a wood version available from Blu Dot, but it’s more expensive. If you’re looking for a similar white desk, I really like the graph desk from CB2.

i have the same paperclip desk and underneath it’s an ugly mess of exposed cords, powerstrips, external hard drives. Would love to know how anyone solves this ugly kind of problem. thanks in advance.

Many thanks! I’ve been considering and re-considering for several months but really wanted a real person’s opinion. I will make a trip to get a set soon. Now I’m excited–they will replace one of the last survivors of my dorm room furnishing days.

It took me longer than I expected, but I made it to IKEA on Friday and put my new Helmer together this weekend. I love it. What a classy update to my rolling plastic drawers (embarrassing!) I’m so happily surprised by how roomy the drawers are. Even my blow dryer fits. Without stops, it’s a little awkward to have something heavy like that in these drawers, but I just need a place to keep that out of sight, so I’ll manage. I’ve filled the other drawers with misc. office supplies, various gadget cords, hair accessories, and sewing accessories, and they work just fine. Thank you so much for your recommendation!
