Love, Lulu Mae

This was the first time since 2005 that Brandon and I weren’t at The Renegade Craft Fair with a booth for Pink Loves Brown, so we were excited to go as shoppers! As I had mentioned though, the weekend was very wet and rainy. We went early on the second day and many of the vendors had already packed up and gone home (I heard a lot of tent mishap horror stories). Still, most of the people were there and it was fun to walk around in the rain, talking to our crafty friends and doing some shopping.

Now let me preface this next bit by saying that I am a girl that loves hats and fascinators. Brandon is usually perplexed by my wearing of them because I wear them any ol’ day. He says I like to be “fancy” (which is said with a mincing motion and air quotes). Thanks, sweetie.

So anyway, my favorite seller at The Fair? Love, Lulu Mae.

Love, Lulu Mae

I bought the “Laura” Green Feather Headband and a little fascinator, but had I seen the “Cecile” Ladies Vintage Hat I surely would have snapped that up as well. In fact, I encourage someone out there to buy it so that I won’t be tempted.

I’m already hoping to see Love, Lulu Mae at more of Chicago’s crafty events because I can’t wait to see everything in person again. Swoon.

I love the headbands…I’ve always thought the ones with feathers the color of your hair look so effortless. I don’t have the guts to try out the green one, but it is so beautiful. Fun, fun!

Haha, that’s funny. When we went to church this week I wore a scarf and my hubby says “this isn’t a fashion show you know” (: I really love those feather headbands, I think I’m going to have to buy one soon. They have great ones for sale on Etsy too!

i live around the corner from where it was and wanted to support them although it was a wash…

i went both days and sunday besides being chilly was basically a disaster for many of them..

one both literally fell in from the pressure of the water gathering on top..very sucky.

anyway, i love those pieces but my head is way too big for them. i would look like a bird in flight!

The lady Kenley on Projecy Runway always wears something like that! They look really cute on her & I bet they look cute on you too. I am not sure if they’d get caught in my afro/ twists or not! LOL!
