I bought a remote controlfor my camera so that I could take self-portraits. Or as Brandon put it, I’ve invested $30 in the ongoing self-absorption project that is my narcissism.
I’m so glad to see a photo of someone sitting in the egg chair. I love that chair so much, but it’s hard to get a good idea of the size of it without an actual human sitting on it for scale.
Cute picture! And I was wondering if you had a remote control, mainly because if I asked the Mister to take a picture of me like that he would be on the floor laughing and I would be flipping him a delicate bird.

Yesterday morning I was watching my new Sex & The City dvd while sipping coffee and hoping to find the motivation to brave a weekend trip to IKEA. And what did I spot? Carrie in Mexico in an egg chair! I didn’t notice it the first time I saw the movie. But yesterday, I thought of your lovely garden with its own egg-shaped caccoon. :)
I was just about to post the same thing as nikkirose. I watched SATC this weekend and thought of you when Carrie was in the egg chair. I do miss some of your house posting as well, but we all go in cycles with these blogs of ours.
Great photo! The chair looks so cozy. Perfect to curl up in with a magazine, coffee, and a pastry. Makes me kind of sad too, since I’m starting to realize cold Chicago weather is just around the corner. I’m not ready to say goodbye to colorful summer days!
well of course two others noticed the Sex and The City thing. My boyfriend just brought home the movie and the first thing I thought of when you see carrie in the egg chair in mexico was that I had to get on and let you know…oh well, its still cool.

I used to try to get shots like this with the timer on my camera, but I ended up with a lot of shots of my derriere. This thing seems to give you a bit more control, and therefore some added insurance that you can get the really good pics.
