Pink Loves Brown Press

The Bright Side Project

Miss B has been giving away goodies everyday in February as part of her Bright Side Project, and I’m honored to be a part of it!

The Bright Side Project

Head on over and enter to win one of my Pink Loves Brown paper suitcase gift sets (winner’s choice!) by answering a simple question:

Is there anything you wish you were better at?

Your answer can be serious or silly (I wish I was better at applying eyeshadow — not exactly an essential skill), and you have until March 2 to enter.

I could teach you how to do that! I’ve been a make-up artist for many moons, and I know that anyone can indeed learn to apply eyeshadow.

Let me know if you want an email tutorial!

P.S. Again, your blog/house/everything are so lovely to look at!

I’m not entering the contest, for obvious reasons. But, I wish I knew how to do computer things and design better. You know, so I wouldn’t have to bother my bestie so dang much.

How funny, I was just lamenting my inability to apply eyeshadow to my liking, eye makeup in general actually, earlier today. Luckily I have lots of things I wish I was better at to choose from, heh.

I am a fan of Pink Loves Brown.

And I wish I were better at playing musical instruments. Why I gave up those piano lessons as a kid, I’ll never know.

I wish I were better at decorating and seeing the final picture in my head. I enjoy the end result (many months later), but the process is torturous- trying to figure what colour goes with what, if the styles clash, etc. I love all styles and love all colours. That’s my problem- I like almost everything.

I wish I was better at… taking care of myself. By this I mean, I should do more sports. All I do is swim in the summer and ski in the winter. I am going to buy a bike this spring and will try really hard to use it as often as possible. It’s a start. :)

I wish I was faster at quips or comebacks. Some snarky remark usually comes to me a few hours later, when it does me absolutly no good…

I wish I was better at multitasking, especially when I’m sleep deprived! I have a toddler and a newborn and feel so inadequate at keeping them both happy while getting other things done too.

To mothers of young children who are swamped with an overload of “things I must do” just don’t-relax and really get to know your children. I am 71 and I can’t tell you the # of times I hear the joyful enthusiasm in a young child’s voice ignored,or met with rejection or even anger. Sadly they will learn to shut up or they will become whiny brats out of their own frustration.
