I’m so glad the cooler weather has finally arrived! Time for tights and a big comfy sweater. I’d go with a shimmery tank underneath (or a nursing tank for now) and a denim pencil skirt. Add some t-strap flats (only $28!) and a bag, sparkly earrings and some simple bracelets, and you’ve got a cute and cozy outfit.

I am crazy about this outfit! It couldn’t be any more my style. I have been wearing a denim pencil skirt, thick tights and ballet flats non-stop since it has turned cool. I love this look.

I absolutely love this outfit! And the best part is I think I have enough similar things to replicate it fairly well, although I need t-straps.

I live for these cute little style boards you do. Those skimmers from Urban Outfitters must make their way into my closet. I think they’re Kimchi Blue, and they always make such cute shoes! Thanks for the style inspiration…and for all the other inspiration you give us all.

Lots of people are saying in the reviews that the shoes are painful and poorly sized. I’ve been looking specifically for a pair of T-strap shoes for a 20s party I’m having in January, but those reviews make me nervous.

I actually just bought them the other day. They do run small, so you need to order a size up, and I’d only wear them with tights (I think they’d give blisters with bare feet because they’re not leather). I haven’t worn them for a full day yet though, so hopefully they’re OK.

Thanks Nicole! I’d be wearing them with fishnets, I wonder if that would do the trick. Do you actually buy most of the items in these posts?

Depends on the month… sometimes I have a few of the items, other times I might not have any. I can’t afford to buy ALL of the things I love, so putting together these looks is a fun way of window shopping!

I have that skirt in dark rinse! It’s super comfortable and well cut (even suits a curvy gal like myself). Loving the idea of grey tights (or coloured tights in general) with it. Inspiring as always, Nicole!

I love this outfit. I am definitely going to Forever 21 and see if I can find cheaper versions of everything in your style look – this will be perfect, even for work (i’m a teacher).

Love this outfit! I own those shoes as well and I agree about wearing them with tights. They definitely need some breaking in, but they are super cute!

Just wondering if you have other suggestions on what to wear gray thick tights with. And also what shoes to wear them with. I love them, but am stuck in a rut. Thanks for all the inspiration!!

Those t-straps were on someone else’s blog, I think The Good Life For Less, and I couldn’t believe they were only $28! I have to go try them on for size this weekend… and put them on my Christmas list. I hope my local UO has them.

I have the Lobelia Bud Earrings and they look fabulous on. One warning, they are quite large and make it impossible to talk on an iPhone. Other than that, they are perfect!
