Granny Chic

I think the Freida lamp would look great with the steps wool hooked rug, don’t you?

Granny Chic Lamp and Rug

When I first saw the rug, I couldn’t decide if I liked it or not. I mentioned it on twitter and facebook, and the responses were pretty divided (with references to both Missoni and the Golden Girls). After thinking about it for a bit though, I’ve decided that I quite like it! Finding the lamp to go with the rug really helps pull the two together with a little style, albeit it a granny chic style.

What do you think? Love it or hate it?

I do love that carpet with the lamp. I’m a huge fan of fashion and design, and I thought of Missoni first..haha.
    They would look splendid together!

I think this rug is fantastic because it gives great texture and pattern, but is still simple and versatile!

    Nice job, well done.

Love! I guess it’s got a bit of granny chic in it, but then when you think that it looks like a Missoni pattern, it sort of changes your view.

I know I’m a little late in chiming in, but I love the rug! I think it is really cozy looking in a clean-lined kind of way. :)

I’m in love with the rug! I think it has bit of Southwestern flare to it mixed with 70s bohemian. Adding the perfect accents (I love the turquoise) will go a long way in making it fun and colorful!
