Bathrooms

I could say this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve received as a blogger. It’s a signed Jonathan Adler toilet paper roll cover, which does in fact feel ridiculous to type out. But the thing is… it’s actually pretty cool.

And it looks cute in my bathroom.

There are three Adler designs available from Cottonelle. They’re an Alt Summit sponsor too, so I imagine you’ll be able to see them in person if you’re headed that way.

I thought they were kinda silly at first, too, but when you think about it no more silly than a crocheted doll sitting on the back of you toilet… and cuter, too.

It looks very good in your bathroom! :) And if I see you at ALT I will give you a micro bellydance lesson.

This actually inspires me to make an Adler-esque crochet cover (minus the frilly doll parts of course).

I just saw a set of 4 Jonathan Adler placemats yesterday at the thrift store in almost that same pattern. They were really cute but we just had a fire at our house and Im more in the cleanout mode than “lets bring more in” frame of mind.
I think this is cute. :)

Nice pattern, but I think I have not yet reached that dark place in my life where I need a toilet paper roll cover. I think this might epitomize what they call a ‘first world problem’? :)

I actually saw this on a commercial the other day and thought that it was a cute way to store an extra roll. :) Might have to pick one up. I love the pattern on yours.

Oddly enough, I’m terribly jealous! I want everything Jonathan Adler makes, even if it’s toilet paper. Happy Chic in the bathroom!

Does anyone know what these are made of? It looks ceramic but I would think they would be more expensive than $2 if they were…just trying to find out before I order a ton haha.

NO. NO. NO. I loved everything in your home until just now. Is it better than a doily? Sure. Should you have tp out on display at all? No! Cabinets, closets, pantries, whatever. This is what they call clutter. Even if it’s Adler.

I love the pop of color that the Jonathan Adler t.p. cover adds to your bathroom. It is a hysterical idea. I love his sense of humor. So, I ordered 2.

Hey, that’s actually pretty clever! I don’t really think about the toilet paper in my bathroom very often, but I suppose it is one of those things we “ignore til we need it.” This cool little TP cover actually makes the TP feel like it adds something stylistically to the bathroom. So here’s what I’d do with this: the best ideas are designed well, but also serve some kind of function. So we’ve got the great design – why not attach a weight to the bottom and a steel rod in the middle to hold the TP in place, then have an opening on the side of the cover so you could pull TP directly out of the decorative cover? This would eliminate the need for those clunky chrome TP holders that everyone has directly next to the toilet; you could place the covered TP anywhere nearby, and when not in use, it blends seamlessly with the decor. The only difficulty would be in explaining how your camouflaged TP works to new house guests!
