Sometimes I come across something so cute/sweet/charming/funny/pretty/inspiring/lovely that I just want to share it with you. These are the things that have made my honor roll.

I’m almost ready to switch blogging niches just so I can attend Alt. What a wonderful video…glamorous! I could use a bit of that. Just discovered your blog and have to tell you how much I love your style. Thanks for all that you do!

Resolve project is amazing. Thanks for sharing. I also love the alt video, have to say, I’m kind of inspired, just from the video. Happy weekend!

What would I do without you to keep me relevant. (or as my husband says re le VANT) I did see the Kristen Bell Video already and it completely creeped me out. That food meets fashion is genius and leads to all sorts of things. Click “Vintage” and you can see a collection of covers from 60’s pulp type paperbacks. Hysterical. The Resolve Project was fascinating and I pinned a few. Thanks Ann

Nicole- OMG, that IS the most adorable floral ever! I could so see you in that dress… except I would rather it be either chocolate brown or fuscia flowers for you. Love love love.
As for the furniture….If there was one thing I learned over my years of spending money on my kids it was this: money spent on high quality classic toys, art supplies, classic games, puzzles & books as well as money spent on museum memberships, memorable vacations & other outings/experiences was most often money well spent. But money spent on high end designer kiddie fashion, trendy toys & plush animals, the latest electronics, as well as toys/dolls that appealed more to my own inner child than my kids (like every new Beanie Baby ever invented and every version of Muffy Vanderbear and American Girl doll), and last but certainly not least, money spent on high end nursery furniture and other such decorative foo foo… was, sadly, money WASTED. Money I now wish I had back to spend on my kids more wisely. Money to sock away for college tuition or a well-deserved post-college European walk-about, or a down payment on a first home. Having said all this, I still advocate making things lovely! Just follow role models like Nicole who do it sensibly and frugally….and your entire family will be all the better (and figuratively speaking ‘richer’) for it! Nicole… Thanks for letting me give this advice and thanks for Making it SENSIBLY lovely! hugs to you.
