Making it Yours (MiY)

Making it Yours 8C: Leather Chesterfield

Making it Yours follows one piece of furniture through several different looks. We’ve already seen this green leather couch in a more masculine room, and then in a younger, more feminine space. Now we have it in its final look, another feminine room, but this time a little more refined.

When Tom gave his little sister, Frances, his chesterfield sofa, she wasn’t so sure it was her style. It’s so big, and so traditional! Years later though, she has come to really appreciate it… Just like Tom has come to appreciate vegan dining.

I love it! but the 10 and 11 are cut off and there is no “12” for the rug, the one I was most interested in. Many thanks for all you do!

I love the simple but elegant lines of the lounge chair. Room and Board is opening a location near my house this fall. I am SO excited…but also a bit scared. Their stuff is lovely, but pretty pricy. I haven’t bought anything from them because I don’t usually buy things sight unseen, but now that I can try them out in person….uh, oh.

Our couch (“Jasper”) is from Room & Board Six years old and still holding up just fine. I like their quality, and the design of course, too.

Yes, but $10,447 of that is just from the admittedly quite expensive leather sofa and one-of-a-kind rug! And before you balk at the prices, remember that this is to serve as a jumping off point. I talked about it a bit in the first post in this edition.

That dark green is an amazing color! And chesterfields are definitely my favorite style sofa… I’m kind of obsessed with that one!

That Ikea black bowl is a blatant rip off of a handmade bowl from etsy shop ETCO!

This is a bit late but I just came across this Martha Stewart Sofa (is there a place where she is not selling her stuff?!) that might be a more affordable option for some.
