The pic of August with the flowers is divine. Everything about it is perfection! And I’m not talking in a technical way (although I’m sure it’s good), but in a beautiful way…if that makes sense.

You’re right! I think I got a little heavy-handed with the Photoshop experimentation on a couple shots, and I didn’t notice it until I’d published the post. Some of the photos were of poor quality, and I was trying to compensate. I’ve dialed it back a bit and updated the post.

When I saw the word Rivendell I heard Aragorn say (in my head), “to Rivendell Master Gamgee. To the house of Elrond.”

    Lovely photos. It looks peaceful.

I googled a question about painting rooms and found your tutorial the other day… ever since I’ve been hooked on reading back through your blog!

My favorite picture here is that super-close up face. That is just a perfect shot.

The place looks gorgeous, I always wanted to rent a cabin in the woods. Long sleeves? What’s the weather like up there and can you send it to Texas? It’s in the 100s here!

My sisters and I really want to take a trip to Mackinac Island, have you ever been there? I love the idea of a place with NO cars.
