Orla Kiely for Method

Kitty in the Sink

That picture of my kitty, Violet, in the sink is from early 2008. I went back through my photos to see how long we’ve been refilling the same old Method soap bottle, and it turns out it’s been four years now. They don’t even offer this shape anymore, but I’ve never found a soap dispenser that I like better and this one has held up, so we’ve kept it. I’m working with Method though, and they sent a couple of bottles from the new Orla Kiely line… and I think I may have found a replacement.

Orla Kiely Method Hand Soap

Cute, right? (Although I’m still holding on to the old bottle too! Ha.)

Orla Kiely for Method

There are four Orla patterns in the new limited edition line, and each has a signature scent (primrose, vanilla chai, bay leaf, and pear ginger). They became available online and in Target stores last month.

p.s. I really ought to update the bathroom, eh? It’s the only room in the house we haven’t done anything to, beyond hanging a shower curtain!

I picked up the vanilla chai a few weeks ago, smells delish and looks super cool in my kitchen (it matches my Fiestaware colors!).

I love the Pear Ginger, but that’s the only one our Target has, for now.

We have literally every offering in the Pear Ginger. I haven’t even cracked them open, but I’ll probably get a back up set. It smells so good! Our Target has not had one single item from the other scents. *sigh*

I like the Vanilla Chai designs the best!

They are super cute – I wonder if I can get them in the UK?
p.s. I have no idea how you have managed to do revamp your whole home (minus the bathroom!) whilst having 2 young kids, you deserve a medal! … mine are 9, 6 and 1, we moved last year and I still have boxes lying around, I think it has something to do with the little one, she’s a terror!!

I just bought the Bay Leaf + the Vanilla Chai last night. They both smell amazing! The green leaf pattern fits in perfectly with my bathroom, while the vanilla chai is for my kitchen. I may have to stock up on these!

I have the same white, square dispensers at each of our four bathroom sinks. Love it.

I’ve had that square dispenser in our bathroom for four years too. I can trace it back because that’s when my husband, then boyfriend, and I moved in together. What is funny about the timing of your post was that I just decided this morning it was time to make a change. Might have to give Orla a try and keep the cube under the sink for a while.

I was going to post the same type of comment as Leann! My husband and I have had the exact same old square Method soap dispenser in our bathroom for the past 4 years (when we first were married). I was just thinking last weekend that I have looked for a new one from Method or another company but I still like the little “modern” square one. So, for now we will keep it!

I’m so glad Method does pump bottles now instead of their older squeeze bottle versions. After much frustration with their squeeze bottle (and not being able to get any clogged soap out), I swore I’d never buy them again. Fast forward to this year and I decided to give it another go thanks to your blog. I have the pear ginger dish soap and I am definitely gonna reuse that bottle.

I liked the shape of those old squeeze dish detergent bottles, but the new pumps are a definite improvement in the function department.

The Target by me was sold out of all of their products except the cleaner in pear ginger, so I bought it. Love their cleaners!

And yes! I would love to see what you do to that adorable bathroom!

first of all, i have practically that exact same pic of my cat. he had the same coloring and everything.

secondly, i seriously need to get a method foam dispenser with some color, but i’ll be dumping the smelly stuff and refilling with the unscented version.

I love the OK packaging but was so bummed to see that the design is only on the plastic wrapping, not printed on the actual bottle. I was hoping to use it and refill over and over, but I think over time that plastic wrapping is going to tear and get dingy.

I still stocked up on a couple of bottles – my store only had the pear design, but I’m on the hunt for the bay leaf one!

I was sad that the designs were shrink-wrapped on the bottles, rather than painted directly on, too. I hope that if they do any future collaborations, the bottles well be directly printed. The pear design would have looked great in my yellow kitchen, but I knew it wouldn’t hold up well to that wet area.

I wish it were printed on too, but that’s why I’m still holding on to my other bottle.

Our kitten is obsessed with water! She is constantly in the sink or the tub. I even turned the shower on her this morning and she just hopped up on the side of the tub to get out of the way. I’m obsessed with the Vanilla Chai Method soap! I’m stock-piling it, hoarding is such a harsh word. :)

I went and checked my Target after reading this and they still had a little of everything left! Ended up getting counter spray, dish soap, and two different hand soaps. I also wish that the design was printed on and maybe just plain made of a more permanent material, but I’ll refill them for awhile before going back to my glass Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day bottle!

I use so many of Method’s products – the hand soap, glass & surface cleaner, multi-purpose cleaner, antibacterial bathroom cleaner, bathroom tub & tile cleaner, antibacterial kitchen cleaner, mild abrasive cleaner, and the dish soap. I’m not kidding when I say I use many, and I’d love to try the baby products next now that I have a newborn. I buy my Method items at Lowes and my local Lowes looks like they’ll no longer be carrying many of the Method products. I’m so bummed! I might have to start ordering online. I will order these pretty hand cleaners when I do.

I have saved the square dispenser too, Nicole! It is perfect for clumsy kid hands, as it is grounded enough that it doesn’t fall over as they firmly pump out 5-7 handfuls of soap at every hand washing. *sigh*

    Bring it back, Method!
