Ditto! There are so many that I’d love to meet in person and I know we’d be great friends!

can you actually paint/write on the lovi ball? would be a great kid-made gift/greeting card to far-away family?

Sort of. Whatever you did to it, it would get rearranged when it was assembled. An abstract design (like a child’s painting) could be really nice though!

I definitely feel like I know someone after spending way too many hours reading their archives. It doesn’t matter to me that hundreds or thousands of people follow them and so they might feel the same way, or that blogs are not real life no matter how hard they try to depict it, no one is absolutely the same, I still feel like I know them and that we’re good friends, (except they don’t know me :) it’s sort of like caring deeply about characters in a book in a way.

“it’s sort of like caring deeply about characters in a book in a way”
      — that’s a great way to describe it. But then I’ve gone on to meet some of those bloggers I had previously only ‘known’ online, and they’ve usually just like you’d expect!

Yes, very much so! It’s good to know there are so many interesting people out there but sad that I’ll never get to meet them in person.

I am in love with those old school badges! The Dinner Monitor would be a perfect stocking stuffer for my husband, and Head of House perfect for me ;) Too bad shipping pretty much doubles the price on everything or I’d buy them today! :)

You are one of those bloggers that I feel like I “know” I love your writing, your design and I know I’d love being friends with you! If we didn’t live so far apart in real life! :)

Wanted to pick your brain about upcoming Christmas shopping for kids! Do you follow that quote “something you want, something you need, something to read, something to create” Love the idea…may try it this year for my 3 kids!

I was just talking to Brandon about Christmas gifts earlier tonight. I want to get the kids fewer but nicer things. Brandon said that it didn’t feel like enough stuff, to which I responded by waving my arm at the mountain of toys scattered around the living room. So, um… we’ll see how it goes this year.

I wish I had the same time as I used to. I would read blogs for hours before my little girl was born :)

Yes! I feel that way after reading personal essays too. When I finished reading Mindy Kaling’s Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, I was one of the throngs of people who thought that Mindy Kaling should be my new best friend.

I do wonder what effect this will have on meeting people at Alt!

I feel that way about bloggers often. On occasion I’ve actually had dreams about bloggers and online friends that I’ve never met in real life! Always makes me feel like a stalker, but I’m not, I promise! haha.
