Holidays Living Room

Some Christmas Decorating

So. Speaking of sequins, they’re featured prominently in my home for the holidays.

Sequined Pillow

The house may be photographed for a magazine (to appear in a Christmas issue next year), so I’m feeling extra pressure to do it up right.

Pink Christmas Tree with Pailettes

I bought our pink tree in 2009. Three years later, about 1/3 of the lights have burned out. Supposedly a “lightbulb specialist” will be calling me tomorrow so that I can place an order for replacement bulbs. I’m hoping I can get clear ones because when the tree is fully lit with its pink bulbs, the effect is a bit bordello-ish.

Pink Christmas Tree

I have more to do (the pressure!), so there’s more to come. Next week, most likely.

I love the pink tree! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one before and I’m sure is I show my girl then she’d want to take ours with paint and glitter :)

The sequined pillow is this one from The Land of Nod. It’s in an ombré effect.

I never would have found it if it weren’t for you! Having no children myself, it would never occur to me to look for something that seems sophisticated (or it could just be your space makes it look that way) in the kiddos section. Thank you!

where did you find a tree light specialist? i need one. our tree has sadly lost most of the pre-lit lights. we just throw some stings of lights in there to fill in the huge gaps but want a more permanent solution. we were considering pulling off all the strings and putting on clear LED lights so they wont burn out like the incandescent ones.

The specialist is someone who works for Treetopia, where we bought our tree. We’ve tried to replace lights from other strings, but none have fit.
