Crafty Like a Fox Party Theme

This is the third and final baby shower theme I created for a Huggies Pinterest campaign. It’s also my favorite and the most ‘me’ of the bunch. Because I’m so foxy.

Crafty Like a Fox Party

Kidding! I do love the color scheme though, all based around a floral tablecloth by Rifle Paper Co. for BHLDN. This is the tablecloth I’d considered chopping up for kitchen curtains. I’m so glad I didn’t, because now I’ll be able to take it with us and use it in our next house. (As a tablecloth, not curtains! Imagine that.)

Again, these were shot in Tyllie Barbosa’s Chicago studio. And again, my sister-in-law, Portia, assisted me on set. We had the food styling down by this point.

There was a dessert table, too. I made the little bunting flags over the cake, but the cake itself was an off-the-shelf coconut cake from the grocery store.

Baby Shower Dessert Table

This is a baby shower theme, so I originally pitched this as “Foxy Mama.” That is apparently too racy? Thus the theme became “Crafty Like a Fox” instead. Naturally, I had to setup a craft station.

And speaking of crafty, another diaper cake. Never did I suspect I’d make a diaper cake in my life, but here’s my third one. I daresay this is something I’m actually good at! Adding it to the resumé.

My creation graced the gift table. The framed tree print you see here was borrowed from Binth for the shoot. They had a beautiful family tree version in their store with calligraphy, but I wasn’t sure how that would fly for photo shoot releases so I used the plain version. The cards on the table are by Binth as well.

There are more photos of the Crafty Like a Fox baby shower theme on Pinterest, and you can see the other two shower themes I designed and styled for this campaign here and here. This was my favorite, but which was yours?

“Foxy Mama” would have been perfect! And I love everything about this theme… so woodland cute, but still sophisticated. (and seriously… what pregnant woman would not want to be called “foxy”?)
Also, please come style my house.

This is my favorite by far! I really need the wooden fox on top of the diaper cake, and feel like I may have seen it before on an online shop. I can’t remember where though! Anyone know where it is from?
Also, these post always make me hungry! So I think that means the food styling is pretty darn perfect!

Thank you, Nicole! I remembered that I first saw them on Apartment Therapy when the designers of the animals were featured on a home tour. I’m going to order it now. The sets are so tempting, but eek….out of my price range. So thanks again. My mantle needs that fox!

This is my favorite of your showers too! I’m in love with that Rifle Paper Co. tablecloth (it would never leave my table) and all the foxes. In fact, I’d love for my office to look festive in just this way all the time!

This one is definitely my favourite! But then I do have an abundance of animal ornaments, so it figures…I’ve been thinking of pink and orange as my bathroom theme, so I may link to this to show how well the colours work together if that’s ok?

We just had good friends who named their first son Fox. This would have been a perfect theme! Also, if my husband and I ever do have children (accident though it may be), “foxy mama” will most definitely be our theme!

Such a cute idea!!! I don’t understand why “Foxy Mama” is too racy? What is the world coming too? What pregnant, soon to be mom, doesn’t want to be called foxy?
This theme is adorable and I would love to do a birthday party, for ME, in this motif!
