Comparison is the thief of joy. Lisa’s thoughts on this really stuck with me.

There’s a trend of houses selling with everything and the kitchen sink. Would you buy a house fully furnished? To me, that takes all the fun out of making it your own.

Just wanted to say thank you for including Lisa’s thoughts. That was exactly what I NEEDED right now. Really.
I would absolutely decorate with vintage mugshots. Quite the conversation piece.
Thanks for the great honor roll this week. “Comparison is the thief of joy” has been my mantra for several months now as I plan for an launch my own blog. (That and “don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.”) I loved Lisa’s essay and I’m glad you inlcuded it. Although I’m not glad she had that experience, it’s nice to hear that people who seem to have it all together – everything looks awesome from over here – they also have moments of doubt. It’s also nice to know you have the power to snap yourself out of it and move on.
