Chicago Home + Garden will be hosting its fourth annual Chairs for Charity on Wednesday, with proceeds going to Designs 4 Dignity. (Sneak peek here.)

Also benefitting Designs 4 Dignity, the 2013 Chicago Modern Home Tour will take place October 5. Tour the interiors of some of the areas private, modern homes!

Doug Deuchler (a friend of ours, we are happy to say) will be at the main branch of the Oak Park library on October 12, discussing his newest book, Legendary Locals of Oak Park.

The last Elkhorn Antique Flea Market of the year will take place on September 29. I haven’t been before, but I’m looking forward to it.

Love the Elkhorn flea market. Grew up going to that one, and always found some good bargains. It’s definitely worth the extra miles to get there.

Honestly, I think finding stylish basics is so much harder than finding cute statements. Gorgeous pillows? Dime a dozen. Gorgeous toilet paper roll holders? UGH!
