April 4, 2014 at 1:42 pmThe article about the color pink was so interesting! I grew up in the 80s, and my sisters and I would have loved a set of pink Legos, which weren’t around when we were little. I’m a super girly girl and pink has always been my favorite color. My oldest son also loves pink and will often pick the color when he has a choice. I have never told my boys that pink is often considered a feminine color, and they are big fans of My Little Pony, too. We bought them some pony figurines for Valentine’s Day and they were thrilled. Pink makes me happy, and if that’s the color my boys love, then I’m thrilled by it. You can never have too much pink! :)

Re: The Walled City. I read a book when I was a teenager that shaped my life from that point on: “Chasing the Dragon” by Jackie Pullinger. My dad gave it to me and suggested I check it out…
Jackie Pullinger worked in the Walled City as a teacher and advocated for social justice and was instrumental in bringing hope to many people who lived there.
Check it out if you want to get an intense inside picture of what the Walled City was like.

I was hoping to find some good Virtual Assistant task on TaskRabbit because I have a good amount of free time during the day, but the background check is taking oddly long for a person with a clean background. The gig economy is a tough one.
