The Best Shorts (on Sale!)

Last year, I was on the lookout for some new shorts and after trying them on at a million places, my favorite fit came from LOFT. I was shopping elsewhere recently and saw a pair of shorts that caught my eye, but they were a big fat nope when I tried them on. I figured I should pop back over to LOFT to see what they had, and the shorts are even better this year! Same inseam options (most are 4″, some are 6″, and a few are 8″), but their Riviera shorts have a higher waist that I love and the prints are amazing.

A few people asked about the scalloped shorts I was wearing in one of my Snaps a few days ago; they’re these. Super flattering. And I don’t know how long the sale will last, but they’re all 50% off right now! These are my favorites…

I plan to wear them a lot this spring and summer with a panama hat and leather sandals. (And some sort of top, obviously.)

Oh man, those Loeffler Randall sandals with the tassels. The Cute Girls of Instagram are all wearing them, and they look really good. Totally impractical for my day to day life, but maybe they’re a better fit for you? I did get those slides from Target, and they’re working for me. You can put an entire outfit together around them and a pair of shorts, and if you buy said shorts at half-off, the whole look is under $100! Nice.

AGREED. I’m…ahem…bigger on bottom, and finding good shorts can be a challenge. I just bought several pair in the sale this morning. Can’t wait to get them in!

I always appreciate your style posts! This time, when I click on the link (all of them) I end up on a blank page. The same thing happened to me on Hello Sugarplum last night. I’ve played around with my privacy and cookie settings to see if anything changes this result, but no luck. Do you have any suggestions?

I had a strange problem like that for a long time where I couldn’t look at any product pages from certain sites. No idea what caused it! If you’re looking for the shorts, can you try going to loft.com and searching for “Riviera?” (I wish I could help further.)

Thank you for your quick reply. I just found the problem. (Allow “redirect” under security settings.) Whew! I love that little pin you show with the “under $100” outfit.

Ah, good to know. And if you like that pin, they make a print with the same image too!

How does sizing for Ann Taylor Loft run? I’ve never shopped there, but they are super cute shorts!

I would say they’re slightly vanity sized. On par with the Gap brands (Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic), if that helps.

I too find that the Loft has sizes that are true to fit and enjoy their clothing. Thanks for the reminder that I need to go there!

I have to say Gap Sexy Boyfriend shorts have changed my life. Comfortable, modest and easy to find on resale sites like Poshmark!
