Yep… gotta say I’m not really a fan of those 4 words. I would have been happier had they just ended the whole thing like 30 seconds earlier… it would have been perfect without that ending.

I didn’t mind it. Did seem weird to have Rory end up being in a bit of a downward spiral for an entire year. Don’t agree with Logan being the bad guy. Seems he was supportive of her crisis year and loved the brigade members showing up. Plus he was always my favorite out of three. Jess and Rory are too much alike. The musical. UGH. Ok. Enough rambling about fictional people as if they’re real : )

Oh, thanks for that Mighty Girl link. And those four words didn’t devastate me, surprised yes, but sort of makes sense considering her year.

I agree with Maggie on Kon Mari. I bought the book, got about a third of the way through it, said, “This is ridiculous!” and gave the book away. Now THAT brought me joy … ;-)

The Nora Ephron essay is funny. I was born 20 years after her but I still remember some of those weird feelings and I do remember asking my mom for a bra and she said “no.” I was physically ready, but she was not emotionally ready. I remember almost passing out when I had to say “bra.” We did not talk about such things in our family, even in the 70’s. Funny and a little sad.

The four words did not bother me as much as the musical , most of which I skipped over because whyyyy??? So weird. Didn’t love the ending but I was super surprised which I think is the idea…maybe it implies a continuation of the family line type of thing. Not sure but it sounds like there are no plans for more seasons/specials as of now so we may never know!

Ugh on the Gilmore Girls. I hated Rory’s entire story line. And since I think that Rory’s story line shouldn’t focus on who she ends up with, the ending was a huge problem for me. Now I feel like she’s shackled to Logan in perpetuity, and unlike Lorelai, I feel like she won’t be able to find her own way. It’s not helped by the fact that Logan is my least favorite of all of her exes.

Hated Rory and everything about her storyline for pretty much the entire revival. If they were going to have her still hung up on Logan 10 years later, it basically contradicts the whole “it’s not about who Rory ends up with” because it makes it obvious that turning down his proposal to pursue her career was the biggest mistake of her life. Her career completely flopped (they didn’t even mention what came of the Obama campaign job for her), and she’s obviously still in love with the boy. Loved that Lorelai and Luke finally get married, but also hated that Lorelai, after everything, completely cut her mother out of that, too.
