Ok, you look AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!
I’m new to your blog and so happy that I found you. I’ve loved looking back in the archives.
And now to tune in to see your baby? well, that’s just icing……lovely, lovely icing.
Sending out happy vibes for a wonderful birth:)
And by the way, I’m sure you know that first babies are often late. Mine was 10 days late. But when she was ready, she was ready, and the labor was quick and easy. I hope it’s the same with you!
Both my girls were two weeks overdue — and not to scare you, but they popped out as 10-pounders. We joked that they spent those last two weeks, laid up in style, just getting fat and sassy. :) Looking forward to “meeting” the little miss.
The same thing happened to me. There’s nothing stranger than watching your due date come and go after you’ve been anxiously awaiting it for so many many months….
Savor these last few days! Your life is about cross a threshold!
Marie
My little guy was a week overdue — I so understand how you feel — I hope you have a terrific birth!
Ten Months Pregnant! Been there, done that! Bit the head off everyone who nagged me about it–like I was staying PG on purpose. Oh yeah, I tried walking, salads, and sex and while they all had their merits, my little one came when she damn-well felt like it. And what a Beau-Ti-Ful little (big) thing she was, and still is! Enjoy what little time you have left with your big round tummy–seriously!
Wow that’s a long time to wait!!
I was two weeks late and I was my mom’s first child.
I keep checking your blog every day to see if today is the day, haha.
Btw, I saw that you won the Glam network living category award, so congrats!
BP
I love your hair–so shiny! And your outfit is amazingly cute. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and your little girl. Your blog has been a big inspiration to me on how to craft a stylish and young look in a first home. Thanks!
Karen
I’ve been where you’ve been – twice! Both my toddler son (19 months old) and infant daughter (just 5 weeks old) were born at exactly 41 weeks. Hang in there and good luck with the delivery!
oh, sweetheart. do I know how you are feeling. My youngest is three today but in an instant I am back to how I was feeling three years ago yesterday. One last night of chocolate in a bubble bath before mommy time hits?
You look great! My daughter was born at almost 42 weeks, and I am due tomorrow with baby number 2. I do not anticipate having him tonight or tomorrow, so I’ll be joining you in the post-date ranks. I feel patient, too. I just wish the rest of my family did and would stop calling me multiple times a day. :) But the any-minute-ness now of the whole thing is kind of weird. It is soooooo worth it when those babies come! It won’t be long now. Best wishes for a wonderful birth experience.
she’s just trying to give you time to work on your porch, because as I’m sure you’ve been told, you won’t have much time nor energy once she gets here!!!
(and remember, despite how you may be feeling right now, she WILL come.)
Melanie
I agree with everyone else…you are adorable. Just wondering what your diaper bag looks like? That was a big thing when I was pregnant, I refuse to carry an ugly diaper bag. Unfortunately after the second baby my fashion sense vanished…who has the time? :)
Good luck with the delivery!
Corie
You couldn’t look any cuter! I love your necklace!
Good luck, Nicole. Any day now! I’m so excited for you guys!
Lindsay
Um, yes. I need to echo the choruses of people saying how fantastic you look. Huzzah! The sweater and accessories? Love. You look great!
love your blog and you look great for 41 weeks, i bet tonight is your night!
jbhat
Oh, what a fantastic picture! You look beautiful.
My sister and I were a MONTH late. We run late to this day.
Not that your girl will do that to you. Here’s to a speedy “outcome!”
betosgirl
HUGELY pregnant, I was checking out @ the grocery store & the bag boy asked when I was due. “Friday”, I answered. He made an encouraging comment about Friday being right around to which I responded “No, LAST FRIDAY, I think I’m in labor right now!”. You should have seen his face… priceless! He hustled me outta there as fast as lightning and 12 hours later I was laying in bed nursing a baby…. (and i gotta say it too, that photo is beyond adorable!)
betosgirl
i meant he said “friday is right around the corner” duh
Don’t worry- she’ll be here before you know it! You look so great, too! Are you resting or trying to frantically nest:-). I did way too much of the latter in the days leading up to my little one’s birth!
You look so darn cute! Try to sneak some extra sleep time in before she does arrive…you will need it. Can’t wait for her to make her debut on your blog.
I am a huge fan of your blog and wish you and your cute hubby a speedy, healthy delivery. I was a week past due with my first which was welcomed as we were renovating our new (very old) house – I went into labour whilst painting the stairs (gas mask and all) not really recommended. Take good care of yourself now and rest as much as you can – soon you will have a beautiful babe that will demand every inch of you!
Nicole, every time I see a new post from you pop up in my reader, I anxiously click on it thinking it might be “the post” announcing your baby! Hang in there. :) What an awesome photo.
How fun! I check in every day just to see! I was 41 weeks, too- induced in the end- argh!
Anyhoo, enjoy this time- you do look great and I LOVE the hair- is it new-ish???
Denise
I keep checking in to see if your little one has made her first appearance on your lovely blog. Can’t wait to read the happy announcement.
jennifer Hughes
oh my goodness you are so cute, you look great. hopefully she comes soon its the waiting that’s the hardest..
After 5 1/2 years, I can’t remember exactly whether she was early or late. Hubby says she was a week early.
It still felt like it took forever for her to get here.
Michele
I want to echo all the previous comments….you look gorgeous and baby will come. Enjoy these last precious moments of silent waiting – to me it seemed like an intensely close time between my unborn daughter and myself. Wishing you well.
That pic of you is all kinds of cute! I predict two more days. The 23rd. After dinnertime.
Fiona
You look great! I actually felt great (if absolutely enormous) until the end. They were going to induce me at 41 weeks, but then my substitute doctor realized the baby was potentially 12 pounds and advised me to get a c-section. (She ended up being 10 lbs.) Regardless, she had not even dropped at 41 weeks. How long will your doctor let you wait?
Oh my! I looked like a bloated up mad woman at 1 week overdue – you look fabulous! Im convinced (no scientific basis at all!) that overdue babies are too happy & chilled out to be born yet & this makes for contented little newborns.
My doctor won’t let me go past 42 weeks, so I’ll be induced if I don’t have the baby by next Tuesday. Obviously I’m hoping she’ll make her appearance before then!
kate
you look great! my son was supposed to be induced – he was 9 days late – and i didn’t want that. so i went for a combination of hot fudge sundaes, spicy wings and accupuncture. That did the trick!! we avoided induction. GOOD LUCK!!
All I can say is just try not to get impatient and enjoy these last few days together before you life changes forever. Hope all goes well for you.
Jo x
(ps have you tried castor oil? I did it for both pregnancies and labour started within hours)
Confession: I think it’s kind of funny that everyone keeps saying how great I look. I mean, I really appreciate it, but I certainly don’t feel like I’m looking great these days! I feel huge and awkward, and I’m wearing stretchy pants in that photo (the horror).
But you know, thanks! ;)
And the necklace is a few years old – I think I bought it at Express.
johanna t.
I just gave birth a few weeks ago. I was 42 weeks and 2 days. Technically, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists does not consider you over due until 42 weeks. I only mention it in case you feel any pressure to induce. Good luck. Hang in there. Your little girl will come when she is ready.
Well, I wasn’t going to say it, but I’m pretty sure I felt the world counter-rotate when I noticed you were wearing pants! Pants or no, you still look great!
You look beautiful. Wishing you a safe and speedy delivery whenever your little girl is ready.
Jen
Stretchy pants, ha! You look great anyway! I think it’s your knack of looking “put-together” that we’re all envying. If it were me, I’d be wearing whatever was most comfortable for sitting on the couch. Actually, that’s what I’m wearing now and I’m not even pregnant!
You look so great!!! Good luck with everything and I’m sure she’ll be here before you know it. I love that you are calmly waiting for her arrival. I know several people who have been past their due date and they start demanding to be induced…but you seem so peaceful and it really shows.
Kristin
What a great picture! You’re so creative.
She’ll come soon, all the best!
Herta
As a fellow woman who was overdue (42 weeks for both my kids) I vote that the ‘normal’ gestation period be changed to 42 weeks!…Also, as others have said, she will come when she is ready. All the very best for the coming weeks I’m sure you, your husband and family/friends will be over the moon when your little one decides to make her appearance. xox
luuvely
i do love this picture! and you will too in like 3 years when your little one starts to saying “i can do it myself!” you will look back on this picture and say things like..”man i wish you were a baby again!”
yeah although you feel akward..this picture is PERFECTION! :)
btw..my khalil was 1 week and 1 day “late” so 41 weeks and 1 day…so feel “good” that you arent the only one “overdue” i never trusted the whole date thing anyway…
Oh I’m so excited for you. There is nothing like becoming a mommy. You are going to love it. Take a long walk and then if you can stand it have sex:) That really helps.
Oh you poor thing! But you still look so cute and stylish!! hang in there and try to stay as comfortable as possible. I know that is almost impossible at this point though. {hugs}
Martha
You are too dang cute!!! Blessings…
Leeng
Both of my kids were exactly 3.5 weeks over due. We joke that they enjoyed the spa-like, warm environment so well they just didn’t want to leave. Since they’re now 26 and 14, I really miss being pregnant. Enjoy this time – you’ll look back on it fondly — guaranteed!
I’ll add my voice to the chorus – you look terrific!
I love the color palette of this photo. You need to add some dark bottle green to the pink and white in your home – it’s such a classic and pretty combo.
Oh my dear!! You are such a trooper and you look amazing :o) Guess you can’t say any day now- it’s more like any second now, lol!!
Best Wishes!
~Rachel

Okay, I’ll be the jerk here and just say it… Late babies are cuter. They’re just all, I don’t know, done! Less hairy, curly, waxy, old-looking. Late babies are plump little cherubs from go. No offense, posters, I love all of your babies, too. They’re all perfect little snowflakes.
Thats a great photo!
You don’t have long to go…I know its easy to say and everyday feels like forever.
I have been there. Try to enjoy your last free days.
I keep checking on you and a few other bloggers that are due any day, it is kind of fun to see who goes first. I’m sure you wish it would just happen already!!
I was exactly one week late and the doctor said he would be coming probably later that night. I was like, “Yeah RIGHT!” because I honestly thought he was NEVER coming out. Anyway, I predict she will be coming late tonight or sometime tomorrow. Good luck!!! How exciting!!!
Having your first baby is the most amazing thing ever. It is like falling in love again. You are positively glowing. Hope your sweet baby arrives before Tues. Try jumping jacks!
You look beautiful and I sure hope I look that beautiful at 41 weeks pregnant. I am excited to meet your little baby through the web. Thanks for the hope that a very pregnant women still can have style and fashion.
You’re so cute! I hope this past week has been at least semi-pleasant or you. My daughter was born a week after her due date, but I had back labor that whole week. Ouch!
amyrks
Cute picture and like everyone before me said…you look amazing!
I learned last week in my childbirth class that the average human gestation period is actual 41 1/7 weeks. The 40 weeks is a very old number and was based on an assumption of 9 lunar months. Why they still use this number to give your due date is anyone’s guess.
Love the pink cardi! I went a week past my due date, too. The dr. told me on the 3rd if nothing happened on the 4th that we’d be inducing on the 5th. It must’ve triggered something because baby came on the 4th!
At this point I’m sure you’re just ready to hold that beautiful girl. Best wishes and here’s to a comfortable as possible last few moments.
I will agree with everyone and say you look lovely, but totally understand that it must not feel that way to you right now. BTW, your haircut is awesome.
hang in there! once she’s here- you’ll have her for life! go for some nice strolls with the hubby & maybe a couple dates for the last few *peaceful* times! they are great- but *time* kind of changes after kiddos :)
Pencils
You look great! Love the cardigan.
I was a week overdue last fall, and I got induced. It wasn’t the funnest thing I’ve ever gone through, but once I got the epidural, it was OK. The important thing is that you’re going to finally meet your little girl! Once you do, none of this stuff will matter anymore. Good luck. :)
As I send this, I am in hopes that she little miss making it not so lovely has arrived! My Mother is a huge proponent for being pregnant as long as you can!
She said, they sleep better. My daughter was late – and a great sleeper!
(just not at sleep-overs!) lol.
I ditto the fact that you look amazing! Pink is your color, but of course you already know that!
jami
You and I had the same due date but I had my daughter a week early via C-section….so I keep checking your blog to see if you’ve had your little baby yet (while I am up 24/7 nursing and walking the floors with my sweetie). I hope things go well for the three of you and yes you do look really great. Try and sleep, the baby will be here soon.
creative*type
yet??? (btw – *waving* first time commenting but long-time reader)
No, the baby isn’t here yet. I’m scheduled to be induced Tuesday morning if I don’t have her before then. I’m really hoping she comes sooner… I had hoped to labor at home for the early part and to avoid Pitocin and pain medication.
keep your mind open and go with the flow.
You might not feel like making love right now but it helps!
Both my babies were saturday babies.
maybe its tomorrow !
You look so good!! I went 3 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS over with my youngest (son) and at the time I went with flow (how could I not! ;) ) my ob/gyn was fab didn’t believe in “intervening” and I went into labour naturally. Had a fast delivery too!
Here’s hoping you have a fast delivery and your adorable, happy, healthy baby girl is in your arms soon!
[…] I know I’m getting big, but when I see myself in photos (or catch my reflection in passing) I realize how absolutely huge I am! I’m 37 weeks pregnant now, and I’m just hoping I don’t go to 42 weeks like I did with Eleanor. I remember how uncomfortable I felt as the due date came and went. […]
Sara
I hope you still check your comments on two-year-old posts because I HAVE to know where you go that necklace!! Love! And you look gorgeous!

You look fantastic! And it definitely looks like the baby has dropped a good bit since the last picture you posted. Is the nursery ready to go?
Ok, you look AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!

And now to tune in to see your baby? well, that’s just icing……lovely, lovely icing.

I agree with Lindsay’s comment, the baby’s definitely sitting low! Anytime now…
ps – love the haircut!
I came on here just to tell you that you look amazing. and i saw others did too.
this is my first comment. I found your blog randomly, I fell in love with it, and i’ve been checking it daily since. :)
Man, you look GORGEOUS. Baby baby baby!
You do look great.
And by the way, I’m sure you know that first babies are often late. Mine was 10 days late. But when she was ready, she was ready, and the labor was quick and easy. I hope it’s the same with you!
What a cute picture! Love it.
I wish I had an ounce of your style. Seriously, you look so great.
I love this picture!
You look perfectly lovely. Good luck!
Both my girls were two weeks overdue — and not to scare you, but they popped out as 10-pounders. We joked that they spent those last two weeks, laid up in style, just getting fat and sassy. :) Looking forward to “meeting” the little miss.
You look absolutely beautiful! Any day now! :)
This picture is great! Your body language says it all!!
Good luck to you. I check twitter & my google reader hoping to hear your good news :)
As mentioned in every single comment previous to mine: you look ADORABLE! What a great picture. Can’t wait for her to arrive! ;)
The same thing happened to me. There’s nothing stranger than watching your due date come and go after you’ve been anxiously awaiting it for so many many months….
Savor these last few days! Your life is about cross a threshold!
My little guy was a week overdue — I so understand how you feel — I hope you have a terrific birth!
Love, love, love this photo! And you look fabulous!
I hope everything goes wonderfully!
Ditto on the hair, you look great.
Btw, I saw that you won the Glam network living category award, so congrats!

you are so patient! by 37 weeks i was ready to be done! can’t wait to meet the new little lady!
I just knew this post was going to say she had arrived.
Well, at least you look seriously beautiful.
Ahhh… it’ll happen.
Have them strip your membranes if you are anxious. I have that done on my 4th, and labor started the next day!
you are so close. hang in there!
You look fab! Hope all goes well (I’m sure it will) and you’ll have that baby girl home in her fashionably cute nursery in no time :)
You look gorgeous. I’m due in 3 weeks and only hope I look that beautiful then. LOVE the necklace!
Aww, I feel your pain! I went 1 week late with my daugher! Hang in there! go walk some stairs. ;)
Any minute now. Where did you get that great necklace?
You make such an adorable pregnant mommy. I hope that whenever I have kids I looks half as pretty and cute as you do!
This is one of the cutest pictures ever!
Wow! You look really great…and so put together! This can be difficult to achieve even on a non-pregnant day!
I just couldn’t not comment to wish you support in your wait, and to let you know how excited for you this reader of your blog is!
she’s just trying to give you time to work on your porch, because as I’m sure you’ve been told, you won’t have much time nor energy once she gets here!!!

Is that “we’re just waiting patiently” a polite way of telling us all to do the same?!
:)
I’m a little late to the party, but you look so beautiful in this picture.
Nicole, every time I see a new post from you pop up in my reader, I anxiously click on it thinking it might be “the post” announcing your baby! Hang in there. :) What an awesome photo.
you look fabulous! great photo :) looking forward to seeing your bambina’s beautiful little scrunched up face on a post soon.
That’s a wonderful picture- like, “Baby, what the heck?”
You’re doing a wonderful thing for your little one by taking so many pictures- she’ll always treasure photos of her lovely mommy!
Anyway, keep writing- your blog has long been a bright spot in my day :)
LOVE the haircut! Hey, if you’re going to be late, as least you look good waiting!
I too came on here to comment (for the first time) on how BEAUTIFUL you look! L.O.V.I.N.G. your outfit!
How fun! I check in every day just to see! I was 41 weeks, too- induced in the end- argh!
Anyhoo, enjoy this time- you do look great and I LOVE the hair- is it new-ish???

best wishes
41 weeks huh?! But this is such a rocking pic of you! You look great!
I have to say you are the prettiest 41 week pregnant woman I have ever seen! Congrats!
I hope you go soon, even thoguh you looks relatively ok. Do you know when they will induce?
been waiting for an announcement….you look amazing by the way…good luck!

Is the baby procrastinating?! Just kidding!
Best of wishes for a safe delivery to you and the baby.
Wishing you the best of luck! xoxo
you look great.
good luck. delivery of your baby is so special.
You definitely do look great! I’ve been checking in daily to see if she’s come yet… you will all be together soon!
I’ll add my voice to the chorus – you look terrific!
I love the color palette of this photo. You need to add some dark bottle green to the pink and white in your home – it’s such a classic and pretty combo.
So, soon you are going to be with your baby and celebrate the Mother´s day. Is it your first baby? Marcelle http://pedacinhodacel.blogspot.com
But yeah, late babies are cuter.
Good luck, N. Have a healthy and easy delivery.
You look fantastic . . . try to enjoy the waiting and by all means . . . take lots of naps.
She will be born on my son’s birthday of the 25th.
I’ve been wondering… and checking in periodically. Thanks for the update. You look fantastic!
Thats a great photo!
You don’t have long to go…I know its easy to say and everyday feels like forever.
I have been there. Try to enjoy your last free days.
AND you look absolutely gorgeous!!!!!

I keep checking on you and a few other bloggers that are due any day, it is kind of fun to see who goes first. I’m sure you wish it would just happen already!!
Good luck and safe delivery

I was exactly one week late and the doctor said he would be coming probably later that night. I was like, “Yeah RIGHT!” because I honestly thought he was NEVER coming out. Anyway, I predict she will be coming late tonight or sometime tomorrow. Good luck!!! How exciting!!!
aw. at least your a cute pregnant lady! she’ll come beautifully!
Having your first baby is the most amazing thing ever. It is like falling in love again. You are positively glowing. Hope your sweet baby arrives before Tues. Try jumping jacks!
soooooo truly pretty!! beautiful!
Just found your blog and I am so sorry you are overdue. My first baby was two weeks late and it was torture!
love that picture! wishing you all the best.
Awe, soon!
Come out little one :)
You *really do* look amazingly good, although I’m sure you feel uncomfortable. That’s an awesome and funny pic!
Hurry up little one!!

You are absolutely beautiful! Good luck for the coming weeks!
Your expression really reflects the true feelings: what the deeleo :) God bless on a safe delivery.
I can’t imagine how ready and excited you must be…I’d be going crazy! And, yes, you look gorgeous!! I want to wear that outfit NOW, for God’s sake!
Ouch!
Cute picture and like everyone before me said…you look amazing!
You look so lovely and fresh. All the best!!!
I learned last week in my childbirth class that the average human gestation period is actual 41 1/7 weeks. The 40 weeks is a very old number and was based on an assumption of 9 lunar months. Why they still use this number to give your due date is anyone’s guess.
She is coming! Better late than too early! :)
HUGS!
you look beautiful! i’m so excited for you! xoxo joanna
You are in the same boat as a coworker…she was due Saturday, and if her baby boy doesn’t come before Sunday, than they will take him. Good luck!
That’s so cute… and you look fabulous :)
You and I had the same due date but I had my daughter a week early via C-section….so I keep checking your blog to see if you’ve had your little baby yet (while I am up 24/7 nursing and walking the floors with my sweetie). I hope things go well for the three of you and yes you do look really great. Try and sleep, the baby will be here soon.
yet??? (btw – *waving* first time commenting but long-time reader)
I bet the silence means the baby is here
Yep, you’ll discover babies set their own timetable for lots of stuff. Looking forward to hearing the news when she gets here :)
No, the baby isn’t here yet. I’m scheduled to be induced Tuesday morning if I don’t have her before then. I’m really hoping she comes sooner… I had hoped to labor at home for the early part and to avoid Pitocin and pain medication.
I’m glad you checked in. I’ll be thinking baby-arrival thoughts for you this weekend!
keep your mind open and go with the flow.
You might not feel like making love right now but it helps!
Both my babies were saturday babies.
maybe its tomorrow !
I love what you’re wearing! And that necklace!
God bless you :) If it makes you feel any better, I was almost a month overdue – I weighed 11 lbs, 10 oz. My poor mom :)
You look fantastic. Babies always make their entrance in their own time. She’s so lucky to have you both as parents.
I hope you still check your comments on two-year-old posts because I HAVE to know where you go that necklace!! Love! And you look gorgeous!
I got that maybe five years ago at Express. I think.
