The past few weeks with a newborn have been a bit of a snooze, sartorially speaking. Luckily I have a cute baby to distract from what I’m wearing, but I’ve been rotating through the same few pairs of pants (these were fantastic until near the end of my pregnancy, and now they’re great again post-baby) and mostly rocking the early nursing days standard of a tank and cardigan. It works, but it’s nice to have a fun new pair of shoes from BucketFeet to switch things up a bit!
The patterns on each of their shoes are designed by artists (painters, graffiti artists, writers, illustrators, tattoo artists, and so on) from all over the world, bringing a little wearable art to your wardrobe. Eleanor is learning how to tie her shoes, so we picked out a lace up pair for her, too.
BucketFeet was launched in 2011 by two strangers who met by chance in Argentina while backpacking. The artists that they collaborate with are based all over the world, but my shoes were designed by Erin Burke, a graphic designer based right here in Chicago! Such a cool connection. Now they have just launched dozens of new styles for the season including mid tops, and brand new holiday low top styles. You can see some of my favorites, below.
Shoes, Clockwise: Dots • Richer Poorer Sun • Carnivale • Pindou • Jason Atienza • Delta
Cute, right? They’re super comfy, and they have shoes for men, women, and kids. If you’d like a pair for yourself, BucketFeet is offering 25% off your purchase using the code LOVELY25 for the first 25 buyers.

I’m wearing those pants at this very moment. They are great! No one can even tell they are maternity. They are great!
Agreed!
Another endorsement for the pants! I loved them my whole pregnancy and sort of miss their comfort now that I’m back in “normal” pants.
Congrats on baby #3! He’s a cutie!
I love the non-maternity version but can’t stand the feel/fit of the demi-panel on the maternity ones. Maybe I’ll give them another try after I have my baby!
I love these! Super cute. I bought some Sam Edelman leopard slip ons last month and have been wearing the heck out of them. So tennis shoes sound like a natural second choice. :)
Eleanor’s favorite pattern is leopard print. :)
such fun patterns!
I know this is supposed to be about the shoes, but I’m really loving your hair right now! :)
Thanks! I’m overdue for a haircut, but it’s not too unmanageable.
They are so cute! And they are a perfect fit for your style!
Extremely cute, all around!
I found the best non maternity pants ever. They are so comfy and you don’t have to keep pulling them up like maternity jeans. Love love love them.

Their picture kinda makes them look weird but they are super cute on.
Good to know, thanks! I’ll be in the market for some new pants soon.
OMG!!!! I was actually one of the first round of visiting artists they had and they still sell some ofmy patterns! Last spring mine were one of their best sellers :-) if you buy my design I get a royalty ;-) So cool of you to feature such an awesome company I feel so lucky to get to be part of!
So awesome! Which pattern is yours?
Thanks Nicole! These two are mine

Love these, so cute!!
Girl, you so need to get into the world of babywearing, and woven wraps! There are so many beautiful designs, it’s right up your alley ;)
Check out Babywearing 102, or Babywearing Love and Support on FB. Definitely a necessity for a busy mama chasing bigger kiddos while needing to snuggle the baby. See you in there!
Oh, I love babywearing! I didn’t have him wrapped up here, obviously, but I do it pretty often. I’ve been big on babywearing with all three of my babes.
I am also really loving your haircut right now! You look fabulous!
Thanks!
Wow, I love the shoes, but what I really can’t get over is Calvin’s perfectly adorable hat! Earflaps on a newborn?! Awesome! We have a little one just a few days younger than Calvin, and I’d love to know where you got it!
I only see it in purple online, but the hat was from Baby Gap. Maybe they still have them in stores? I just bought it a few weeks ago.
…grosh! He’s soo cute! And if I get one pair of those shoes, all end up wanting all of them, soooo….
I recently ordered a pair of the Old Navy pants in the non-maternity version and they fit great, but smelled AWFUL!!! Like intense, almost violently chemical-y. I was so disconcerted by the smell that I pretty much immediately took them off and put them back in the plastic to send back. Did that happen to you? Anyone else?
So strange. No, I didn’t notice any chemical smell.
These are super cute (though, sadly, probably not too practical for me for the upcoming Polar Vortex in our great city). Meanwhile, wanted to ask: you always have fantastic skirts and I bet you had great ones for pregnancy. Any suggestions where to buy something that’s not just the usual black full-panel skirt? Something colorful and fun like your pre-prego pencil skirts would be such a welcome addition to what is becoming a very drab wardrobe…
Yep, I’ll have to retire them soon until the weather warms again in Chicago. Dang polar air! As far as skirts go though, unfortunately no, I haven’t seen many cute options. I have a couple of stretchy pencil skirts (from Target, I think) that I’ve worn early in pregnancy and now again post-baby, but all of the actual maternity options are usually boring black.
Something I appreciate about you and this post: sponsored posts ring false in the blogospere, mostly because they rarely come with disclosure agreements and bloggers seem to mold their endorsements to compliment whatever freebie-of-the-week . . . with this post, at least, I feel like the product being displayed absolutely fits your lifestyle and taste. So, thank you. I am actually checking BuckFeet out right now.
BTW, I love your hair. Reminds me of this photo I’ve had stuck in my head for weeks (http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/post/2188529/1679789709?link=aHR0cCUzQSUyRiUyRmpjcmV3aW5nLnR1bWJsci5jb20lMkZwb3N0JTJGNjI4NDk4MzgxMDM=). I love it, but am a little nervous about making “the cut.”
Thank you — that means a lot to me. And I like that hair cut too! Mine is a very outgrown pixie right now, just because I haven’t been able to get in for another cut, but I’m going to tell myself that I’m rocking that other look. ;)
