Super Budget Edition: Nothing Over $35
The little grey dress is cute as it is, but adding a belt makes it even cuter. I’d add a handmade fabric wristlet and huaraches for pattern and texture, plus a dainty necklace and a big flower ring for interest. And get this… the entire outfit is under $150! Nice.

Love the gray & orange combo!
My favorite kind of style…. Affordable!
I love this! Perfect for the dreadfully hot Southern summers to come.
super cute..the shoes remind me of my mother…in the 80s she had a few different colors of these..
i want to buy this outfit…now. Love all of it. Do more of these under $35 things…love it.
I was going to send you a message saying: “where’s the style of the month???” hahah I was missing it already!
Ah and you should def do more of those. One a month is not enough!!! Love your style xxx
What about the bag? Would love to know where you found it!
I linked to it in the post as handmade fabric wristlet.
I love your blog! It’s one of the first blogs I check every time I open my google reader. Thank you so much for sharing all of your amazing ideas!
wow! love the sandals in combination with the gray.
really cute outfit!
I love the budget version!! Thanks for sharing! It makes me want to go shopping… asap.
I always look forward to your style posts. Loving the budget version… That dress is very cute.
BTY, THANK YOU for all the work you put into this blog.
I like the gray belt over the gray dress. Would not have thought of that on my own!
Yes, what about the purse? That’s my favorite thing!
Looks like someone already bought the bag.
Thanks for including the wristlet from my Etsy shop! Each is made to order and I have more of that fabric on the way. So the wristlet will be available again very soon. Thanks again!
I have the wristlet back in stock but in limited numbers.
Thanks again!

Love the colour combo and Snakebite Belt! I love how a belt can just pull an outfit together!!
I think this is my favorite style edition yet! Love the colors, designs, and most of all ~ the PRICES! Thanks for creating this and sharing it with us! :)
I love this outfit! Everything coordinates so well it just makes me want to jump in the screen and wear it!
This is so great- I love the cheap-but-cute theme…thanks!
As a style-challenged individual, I *love* these posts. So practically inspirational!
This is gorgeous! You SO wouldn’t know this is $35 or less!!
So, from someone who has never belted a dress unless there was an attached belt… Would you take the tie belt off of the dress in favor of the snakebite belt, or wear both at the same time? Forgive me, I am totally clueless, but I love the price of this ensemble, and thinking a belted dress would look very chic, especially at that price!
I’d wear the other belt instead of the fabric tie that the dress comes with.
That rusty orange pops so wonderfully against the soft silver gray! Very chic look for not much cash…bravo!
Love the budget style post! Wow those shoes takeme back to my teenage years. Thanks Nicole!
This is my favorite one yet! Especially that it’s all under $35. I adore the belt. I may order it today.
love it. I have the same old navy dress in black, and it’s super cute and comfortable, but runs a bit big so if anyone is considering it, buy a size down.
Love it! You have a great eye for style. Keep them coming. I do have to say I love that it’s a budget post too! I love shopping at Target/H&M, it’s great for simple, casual wear and it’s great to see how you put things together.
I just love that wristlet! And I’m not normally a fan of gold, but that necklace is really lovely.
Love! Those huaraches do bring me back to a certain era. Which is why I bought a pair from Frye (obviously a bit more pricey than the Target version) just a month ago and am in love. Now I have an outfit inspiration to go with the shoes!
I love the bag and the necklace… very cool! But I’m sticking with my “just say no to huaraches” values. ;)
Thanks for posting these monthly style ideas… I love this feature and your MIY feature as well! And I’m so glad you got the striped sheets…
Great color combo, and love that nothing is under $35! Dresses are my fav thing to wear in the summer, and our Apparel Designer, Kathy, says it’s all about the maxi dresses this summer too! :-)
Love, love, love the outfit. I really may go out and buy at least the dress and the shoes and I’m really a very hesitant shopper! I love a big flower ring!
You can now find the Grey Lotus Wristlet at my new shop, http://www.honeydbags.etsy.com. Thanks!
