The picture is hanging from picture rail (our house was built in 1920, and that's a typical characteristic of bungalows from that time).

We lucked out – the light came with the house, and it's an original (it was in the dining room)! You can buy new ones though, it's a Nelson Saucer Pendant. Nelson Saucer Pendant Lamp - Med
