    Boost Your Roost SweepstakesRemember a few months ago, when I put out the call for entries in to the HouseLogic Boost Your Roost Contest? The couple I chose as finalists didn’t win, but the family that did, the Smiths, was pretty fantastic.

    Allison and Aaron Smith needed a wheelchair-accessible backyard so that the entire family could enjoy their backyard. As it was, Aaron couldn’t go further than the small paved area directly outside the back door, and he longed to play with his son in the yard.

    The first video, introducing the Smiths and the scope of their project, is up. There will also be a new video each Wednesday, leading up to the reveal of their new backyard. Each week, you can enter to win $1000 by watching the video and answering a quiz. After the final video in 5 weeks, if you correctly guess the value the project added to their home, you can earn up to 50 extra entries! I’d say that ups your odds, eh?

    Holly Becker of Decor8 has expanded her long-running course, Blogging Your Way, with a new 2.0 class for bloggers past the beginning stages. Holly is a supportive, open, and honest teacher, and I’m proud to be joining her along with Jeanette Lunde from Fryd + Design to teach the first session this June.

    Now, since I showed you Eleanor in full cranky toddler mode, I thought it was only fair to show you this little outtake from the same photo session. She was much more into being the photographer than the subject that day.

    We received Wooly the Sheep recently from The Land of Nod for a review and giveaway.

    There’s something irresistible about the knit texture and little nubby bits on this sheep. August likes to chew its ears, but more often Eleanor is in possession of it. She has a little toy bed at the foot of her bed, and she likes to tuck the sheep in and say goodnight. I heard her crying last night and when I went to check on her, she was at the foot of her bed trying desperately to reach the sheep so she could sleep with it.
