Coral, Floral, Pink, and Navy

Coral, Floral, Pink, and Navy

I’m still loving pink (always), and my crazy floral pumps, but I’ve also been drawn to coral and navy a lot lately. Here’s what I’ve had my eye on for spring.

  1. Button-Up Top
This is the top I’m wearing in yesterday’s post.

  2. Wardour Dress
So me. I really want this one.

  3. Crepe Scalloped Hem Top
I tried this on in yellow and didn’t realize it came in navy. Navy is far superior.

  4. Vintage Glasses
I have a pair of peach glasses! If I didn’t, I’d be very tempted by these.

  5. Fluid Henley Blouse
Fantastic color. I bought this in the floral print version (#8).

  6. Ultra Skinny Printed Pants
I tend to have good luck with the fit of Gap pants, and these were no exception. Love the print.

  7. Brass Chevron Necklace
I’m always a fan of pink and brass together, especially in simple, modern designs.

  8. Floral Fluid Henley Blouse
My new favorite shirt. Looks fantastic over cropped skinnies or tucked into a pencil skirt.

  9. Everly Liberty Art Fabric Pumps
I do like these more than mine, but mine were much less expensive (and I still like them a lot).

  10. Striped Dress
I have too many striped dresses to add another, but if you’re looking, this is a good (and affordable) one.

  11. Structured Crepe Pocket Blouse
Works better on a more boyish figure than mine, alas.

  12. Sailor Skirt
    Hey, sailor.

This is a fabulous color combination. I adore the striped dress! There’s totally not a limit on striped dresses in one’s closet right? I think I can fit in one more. :)

I also love coral/pink and navy together. If you’re in the market for any exercise clothes, Lululemon’s collection out in stores now has tons of coral, navy and stripes!

I saw some of the cute leggings in the store window, but didn’t go in. Are they nice? My sister-in-law, who exercises regularly and even teaches a spinning class, really likes the brand.

Nicole, yes, the Lululemon brand is really great. They are expensive, but I have pairs of yoga pants that I have owned for probably … ten years now! The colours do not fade, they don’t pill, and they are really flattering. Highly recommend them! (and no, I don’t work for the company!)

Yes, yes, and yes! I love navy, especially paired with coral or pink. My daughter, whom is 3, is obsessed with ‘hot pink’, but I am not a girly, pink fan. I compromise by giving her navy with accents of ‘hot’ pink. Oddly, this is the exact color combination she is wearing today. :)

I have to figure out a way to incorporate some of this cuteness into my maternity wardrobe, or just wait patiently until I can wear regular sized clothes again. Love these colors!

      Holly,

Old Navy and Motherhood Maternity have some coral and navy maternity shirts. I found 2 coral ones at Target in the clearance section last year.

      Hope this helps.

Love #3 and #10! Striped dresses are extremely flattering so I feel like you can never have to many and I find the scalloped to simple yet quite unique, especially when paired with those awesome pants! :)

Navy blue has been my favorite color since 7th grade :) Love those two dresses!

Yes! I still plan to. I got sidetracked with trying to make pretty graphs and charts, and set it aside for now (because I was planning the Anthropologie event last week and August’s birthday party for this weekend).

      Soon!

I actually bought that little mossimo striped dress this morning bc I liked it and it fit perfectly. Anyways, I know you’re a super busy gal, but could you give me some pointers on what to pair with it. I love mixing patterns! FYI : I seriously stepped out of my comfort zone with this impulse purchase. I have nothing this color. Thanks!

Did you see my Instagram of that Target dress yesterday? I tried it on in the fitting room and it looked GOOD! If a dress looks good in a fitting room picture, you know it’s a winner!

Thanks for the ideas. I wear navy a lot in my formal work environment, so it’s nice to have some other options to brighten things up. Have you seen any cute blazers that would go with navy slacks?

Target has some super cute, girly blazers right now! Some are kinda shrunken, and I spotted a blue & white seersucker-like one that is totally adorbs. Hope that helps!

I like the floral blazers that I’ve seen popping up lately (J. Crew and Ann Taylor have them, I think H&M and a few others do too). White or cream always looks good too, especially if a floral print is too crazy for you, or you have a more formal work environment.

One of my favorite maternity tops is coral, but I never wore it. I’m trying to figure out how to make it non maternity, while thinking it’s best to save it for future pregnancy 2.

If I tried to wear any of my maternity clothes, I’d just look very very pregnant. I have a hard enough time with regular clothes sometimes!

I just spotted that dress at Target yesterday! I tried it in both the blue & coral & couldn’t decide. And since I don’t really need another new dress, I’ll just wait & stalk it until it’s on clearance, lol! These colors are making my sick-of-winter blahs so hopeful for spring. Can’t wait to feel not ice cold all the time!

Love all the great ideas! I seem to have a hard time finding a coral that looks good on me but the price on that Target dress was so good I ran out to check it out. Sadly, the coral did nothing for me, but I snagged the turquoise (er, what Target calls ‘bright blue’) – yay!

Thanks, too, for the review of the Gap pants. I’ve been eyeing them online for a while now, but had convinced myself that they were way too skinny to work on me. I think I might need to check them out in person!

Those pants are awesome. I’ve had some misses when trying things on, of course, but overall their pants are cut well for me. These are the same style, but in a stretchier black material.

Ha! This is the color combo I’m looking at doing for our spring family photo session. I loooove coral. Did my daughter’s birthday party last year based off of it, and doing it again this year. I can’t let go of it just yet.

Sorry if this question is too nosy, but what size of the Limited blouse are you wearing in the photo from the craft event? We are about the same size and I am SO excited to order that blouse online, but want to make sure I order the right size!

The Loft henley shirt is amazeballs. I bought it in Floral and Coral! Also, loft has some great tees this year (more like JCrew than Target), nicer than the basic cotton ones, perfect for layering!

I tried the striped dress from Target (#10) on in the store this past Wednesday because I loved it so much. Not a flattering look on me. The waist cut right across the middle. But I found another dress instead that I loved that made me think of your flowery pumps: http://www.target.com/p/merona-women-s-floral-twist-waist-dress-black/-/A-14365658#prodSlot=medium_1_2&term=twist+waist+dress

Thanks so much for including our necklace—I’m sorry I’m so late to reply.
