I’ve been sketching a lot lately and feeling very creative. Last night I felt like painting, so I went to buy some canvasses. I returned home and immediately went up to the studio to start. I told my husband (Brandon) I was feeling a little anxious because my paintings never turn out the way I want them too. Well, this time was no exception.
I had fun doing it until the very end (when I knew, almost immediately, that I messed up). I’m going to try my hand at another though. Try, try again!

I have the same problem when I paint. I have this vision in my head that never comes out on the canvas right. Then I get frustrated and cover the whole mess with gesso. I end up with “blank” canvas’ that are really layers of paint all hidden.
I too have this problem! I get so many ideas in my head and can’t make my hand cooperate! Mine never come out the way I want. Sometimes I like the result. Sometimes I don’t and I layer more paint on it. And sometimes I don’t like them at first, then get used to them.
I find both of these lovely! Where are you going to hang them?
P.S. I love the curtain in your studio.
I’m with Liz, I end up with layers and layers of gesso’d over tries :)
PS. I LOVE your big giant scissors! Where did you find them?
