Studio Floor, Finished
The studio looks good, even while empty! It’s amazing how much difference some molding can make – the new floor looks sharp.
Kim (Four Beds Two Baths) and Raya (The Paper Pony) are installing wood floors right now too… I’m looking forward to seeing their finished results!

Very nice! We are debating whether or not to do it ourselves right now…720 sq. feet is a lot considering we also have to move the stove and refrigerator plus all the other furniture. And my 5 mo. pregnant self is not going to be much help! We’ll see, but I’m always inspired by how much you and your husband do and how quickly you get it done.
i’ve been reading your blog for about a month now, and this is my first comment :) i just wanted to say how beautiful all your decorating work is! i absolutely love everything you do. the floors look amazing! :)
Nice job! I need to take your example and get to work putting together all of the IKEA bookshelves I just bought for my studio.
WOW!!!! I bet you can’t wait to put all your stuff in now!!!! I love the trim,…I hope we have trim in our house someday. lol
That looks really beautiful. We put flooring in our basement this summer and I think everyone should do it. It looks so nice. We still have to put our trim on but I hope it looks half as nice as yours.
Looks amazing, I love the dark wood!
By the way, I was so excited when I found out you are in Oak Park! I’m in the area going to school to River Forest. :)
Oh my goodness! I am in LOVE with that dark brown floor against the pink wall- oh the molding is just beautiful! I am saving this picture and someday I’ll do something like this- its just too lovely!
