Well, kind of.
I was researching dining chairs for a client when I came across a brand new version of my old waiting room chairs. I call them that because I grabbed them from an alley outside of a professional building, and I suspect they came from a doctor’s office. Those chairs have popped up in the library, my office, and the living room, and now you can find them brand-new at Overstock.
Now that I look at them side-by-side though, I think mine are better. ;)

I love Eleanor’s pink rug. Where did you get it?

Yours are way more elegant. Amazing how distinctly different the subtle details make it when you see them side by side.

I also like yours better. I think the fact that they are a bit beat up and worn gives them a really good retro vibe. The new chair looks sort of cheap in comparison (ironic, really). I have a new upholstered chair that I just bought for my desk and I realize that it adds nothing to the room. This makes me see that what I need is the same chair but with some character. I better start scoping out the dr’s office being renovated…

Yours are so pretty. I love the color and of course found, free furniture is always the best!

Yes- yours have much more character! The others are cute, though.

I think you’re right, your chairs are the way to go. I can’t believe you found them in an alleyway! I think that’s so great! I like the ethos of looking for beauty in less likely places. Well done:)
