Making it Yours 9B: Settled in San Francisco

Let’s follow up with Adam and Sadie, our fictional couple and heroes of this edition of Making it Yours. We’ve already seen their bedroom from a while back, but it’s looking pretty different these days…

Adam and Sadie Green have been living in San Francisco for a few years now, after having moved there from Ohio. They’re feeling more settled now, and they know the city pretty well. Lately though, Sadie had been feeling a bit bored in the bedroom (not in that way!), so it was time for a change.

The chest stayed, of course, and so did the curtains, rug, mirror, nightstand, and monogrammed pillow. The bedding is the same too, and the headboard fabric on the bed was swapped out for something less busy. Paint and some new accessories gave the room a big transformation without having to spend that much. Sadie’s happy, and Adam’s happy when Sadie is (but if pressed, he’ll admit it looks pretty darn good).

    A lovely moodboard…especially the colours.

    Hunh, in Austria IKEA charges for these Merete curtains 34,99 Euros!! That’s nearly 44 USD and almost twice the US-Price!! *shakes head*

    Love your “Make it yours” series, always so much fun! If i may be so bold and ask for advice. I just purchased the Icelandic Dreams Duvet and matching pillows from Blissful Living – http://www.blisslivinghome.com/icelandic-dream-p-897.html and now is a bit at loss on how to style it. Any ideas on how to make it mine with cool accessories or what sheets to use:-)?

    Love the latest installment! Those alphabet pillows are adorable and the oil paintings are gorgeous! I don’t know how you do it – every time I do a search on Etsy, I end up frustrated by the pages of ‘country’ style. Thanks for sharing!
