  • Nicole – I would be curious to hear your opinion of joining a service like snapwire to possibly sell photos. It looks interesting.

  • After living in apartments with all white walls for years, when I moved into my home, I immediately painted each room a different color. Nothing too vibrant but nothing tan and nothing all white. While I admire the clean look in other’s homes, all white just isn’t for this gal – at least at this point in my life. :)

That being said, deciding what colors to paint is a hella agonizing decision! ;-)

  • I just painted my guest bedroom/office white! And because I’ve painted so much color in my house, white felt like a really daring choice. Ha! Anyway, I love it, and I’m so happy I did it.

  • We just moved into a 1950s split-level ranch. I couldn’t even cope with what to decide to paint the walls so we went all white. Even when I was looking at white swatches I couldn’t cope! So I went with ceiling white. The color of the strip of white that laid between the swatches. I’m not saying I’m 100% behind it though in our home. It looks great in photos, yes. But in real life I often worry it’s a bit sterile.

  • Great creative links–I especially liked the photography one.

We just bought our first house and before moving in, I painted every wall and ceiling white (the ubiquitous Benjamin Moore Super White in matte finish). It is my very first time painting anything white, let alone a whole house. Part of me loves it and part of me is wildly unsure. That said, the light in the house is incredible and even my unobservant husband remarked on how bright this house feels. Also, I’m realizing that having white walls is a lovely way to get to know a house–it feels very much like a blank slate with very little interfering with my ability to observe and plan.
