Brandon Must Really Love Me

…to put up with the things I do around here sometimes.

Here’s my furniture warehouse. Er, I mean the dining room and living room.

And then there’s the guest room upstairs which has been in shambles for the past week.

He’s been making fun of me because apparently, at some point, I boasted to him about how I always finish my projects in a timely manner. Yeah.

I just love your new dining table. I’ve always liked the crossed legs. A friend of mine has one that is more rustic, I liked how it looked like a picnic table inside a dining room.

So, which do you prefer? It might be the lighting, but the finish looks good!

    Finishing ontime is overrated. :)

Your new dining table is a definite upgrade! It looks great. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with the dining chair upholstery.

I’m liking the new set! Jules, the finish does look good – better than I thought it would. I think it looked a little strange in the warehouse because the lighting wasn’t very good.

    Jennifer, I agree.

It looks longer and narrower than the West Elm table, no? Can’t wait to see your fabric selections for the chairs. :)

Oh, I forgot to ask: which does Brandon prefer? ;)

The table looks great! I like it much better than the other. I guess it wasn’t meant to be for me!! I will continue to have fun searching for another! I will definitely be going back to Jubilee. Enjoy!

The table is stunning in that space. And I agree with you regarding the light. The Jubilee lighting is tough. Glad the table has a new, happy life now.

Love the new table! And I think that we all have that project slow down problem every now and then. :) Glad your hubby is kind about it.

I must admit that I wasn’t too keen on the table from the in-store pics, but it looks really good in your house.

Yes, the table looks absolutely fantastic, Nicole! I will often be helping someone load something into their car that they’ve purchased from Jubilee and when we get the item out into the sunlight will realize the piece is much nicer looking than I originally thought – and then I wonder why I didn’t price it higher!? Oh well, great prices are part of the store’s appeal! :-)

So glad to know that you are human and days like these of clutter and unfinished projects make us realize our vision to stay motivated and bring it all to creative fruition! Go forth and show us when your projects are finished…
after all, it’s not how you start, it is how you finish!

The table is longer by 8″ and wider by 2″.

Brandon has no preference. A table’s a table to him, I guess. He likes the new one well enough. I prefer the new set though! (Sorry, Anne.)

Maybe your timeline just doesn’t go at the same speed as Brandon’s! What all are you doing with the guest room?

I’m just painting. It’s taking forever though! The trim needs primer plus two coats of paint – and there’s a LOT of trim.

We also ripped out the baseboards and put nicer ones in.
