Calvin’s Monthly Photo

I’m taking a monthly photo of Calvin, sitting in our Eames rocking chair and wearing a numbered pin, until he turns two years old. I’ll then continue the photo project after he turns two by switching to yearly photos. I also took monthly (and then yearly) photos of his sister, Eleanor, and of his brother, August.

I photograph Calvin in the same chair and setting each month for a sense of scale. He’ll wear a black and white striped bodysuit for the first year (I bought it in several sizes), and I made a felt pin for him to wear just as I had done for Eleanor and August. The center is changed out each month with a new number.
