Eleanor has little interest in a room makeover. We painted her room dark blue when she was five, and she still loves it five years later. Great for her! Less fun for me (because hooo, do I have ideas!), but I’m not going to push something on her. So instead, let’s indulge in a bit of fantasy, yes?
I imagine this as a shared room, but double twin beds are also nice for kids’ rooms that do occasional guest room duty, or for kids with the luxury of a large bedroom that hosts frequent sleepovers.

Why yes, that IS the rug I designed! And the headboard is also available as a queen size. It basically looks like two of the twin headboards joined together.
Tweaking the design for a less girly girl or transitioning from sweet and pastel to a bolder look is easy. Eleanor is not a big fan of pastels, so something like this would suit a kid like her more.
- Swap the pleated velvet round pillow in ivory for pink.
- Choose the Noemi chair in a patterned fabric instead of the mauve velvet chair.
- Order or repaint the nightstand in red instead of marseilles (gray/blue).
- Go with a black woven lamp instead of the very cute (but girly) rabbit table lamp.
- Light up the room with a modern globe pendant instead of a flowery starburst pendant.

This was fun to put together! Which version would you pick?
I would love to execute either version of the design, but I don’t have a good fit with any current clients or my own kids. That does mean I get to share it here though! What other types of spaces would you like to see coming up?
