New Glasses
Hooray for new specs! Our insurance covers a lot of the cost, so I took advantage of that before the year ended. I found them online too (at a discount), in case anyone is inclined to check them out.
Also, here I am at 25 and a half weeks pregnant. Getting bigger, but still feeling all right.

You look great. I am ordering the same glasses asap. 25 weeks suits you! Congrats!
you look great! would you mind sharing where the dress is from?
Ask and ye shall receive — love the belly ^_^
aww you look super cute..the belly is juuust right!
LOVE those curtains!! you look amazing.
You look great. The curtains look great, too. I can’t believe how much better that fabric looks in real life v. online.
My husband and I are trying for a bub and I love reading your pregnancy posts (despite a rude person on AT disagreeing, hrmph). You look fantastic! You always look so stylish too, I could only wish.
Stunning! Both you & the glasses!
Oh how cute. You look so wonderful in glasses. They just suit you well. I am loving the dress. You are one hot momma.
I did the same and just bought these glasses.
I wish that I would have looked like I just stepped out of the pages of JCrew when I was pregnant. Exciting times!!!
you’re adorable! i ADORE your sweater dress & your glasses are funky! i need new ones, i just might have to take a look at some similar, though i’m not sure i could pull off a thick frame.
You’re carrying great. Looking fab. Good luck with the rest.
Thanks, everyone.
And Manda, that’s so nice to hear. Some of those comments got pretty nasty, and I tried to just not let them bother me.
Oh, and that dress is from J.Crew. It’s on clearance, and I had a discount code, so I picked it up for only $30.
You look great! and gosh, I love those curtains!
Nicole – That was a really nice comment you posted at D16. As I said there, both you and Anna are truly the standard-setters of internet etiquette. I’ve witnessed you both defuse unpleasant remarks on your respective blogs, and I admire you for that. As I also mentioned at D16, my taste, age and personal circumstances are very different from yours and Anna’s, yet I get great pleasure checking in with your blogs every day. Thanks to you both for providing your readers with such a smart, interesting, and inspirational look into your private lives.
pretty dress :) 25 weeks looks great on you!
You are so cute in your dress & your glasses & your pregnant self! Oh my goodness, I could only be so lucky if I ever dare to have a child, ha! Seriously, you look positively lovely!
You look soooo cute! Love the new glasses!
I love those glasses!
& you look stunning, even at 25 weeks.
I’m getting a new pair of glasses this year, I’m determined. My last pair is great, but I need options. (I get mine cheap at http://www.eyeglassfactoryoutlet.com/ I was skeptical at first, but they turned out to be great glasses even at the price.)
Loving your blog & its very inspiring. Thanks!
What are you doing for leg wear with your dresses? I’d love to wear some dresses and skirts (I’m 28 weeks), but I just can’t do tights right now!
cute glasses and i love the photo of you with your belly! such a nice shot!
Off topic, but I wanted to let you know. I am holding a contest for a blog redesign giveaway on my blog http://www.ohbrooke.net. I am a web designer who loves interior design, and just thought your readers might be interested. I follow your blog and love how your house is coming along!
Hi Nicole!
I love your glasses. They look fab!!! I need to order some new glasses and was going to go the online route, but I am worried when they come in, they won’t look right. Any suggestions?
I’m also a graphic designer and your photoshop mock-ups have inspired me to do the same so I don’t make any more impulse purchases while I’m making my own apartment “lovely”.
Great website – thanks for sharing your beautiful home!
Cute glasses! They look great on you. I just ordered new ones myself before the end of the year, although I don’t look good in thicker plastic frames, I got blue metal Fendi ones. And you look great for 25 weeks. I just had a baby in October and I didn’t start seriously piling on the weight until the last six weeks or so. And now I’m having all the fun of trying to take it off. I really wish I hadn’t eaten all the junk I did at the end of my pregnancy, when I was feeling lousy and letting myself over-indulge. Don’t do what I did! Not everyone loses a lot through breastfeeding. And some of us who planned to breastfeed found out that we couldn’t and then ended up not having that assist for weightloss. (Yeah, that’s me.)
such a modern mom-to-be :) I wish I could order some of the dresses you’ve blogged about (I’m at 20 weeks), unfortunately, most of the online stores don’t ship to Canada (boooo!)
Also just realized: we have the same haircut! lol!
Looking FABULOUS! The glasses match your glow. =) I’m loving those curtains too!
Wow, you really look amazing!!! And I think we have matching haircuts. :)
Thank you for the comment you left on my blog, by the way. I’ve had a teary couple of days, and it really means a lot to know that we all still have each other’s support. xox
cuuute, cute glasses. and you’re one adorable pregnant lady, I have to say! Just a few more months, yay! hang in there. :)
Love the glasses and you look adorable in that dress!
Love that the “chronicles of pregnant you” and the new specs are very smart!
I too have black frames!
Did you tell us, is the baby a boy or girl?
Love the necklace (and, lets be honest, just about anything from Anthropologie)!
You look great! I love the new glasses, too. I feel like I have an odd shaped face, so I fear that I wouldn’t have the same luck as you ordering glasses online. I agree with Kari, your necklace is adorable. Is it from Anthropologie?
I think the necklace is from Anthropologie, but I’m not sure. My sister gave it to me for Christmas.
Patricia, we’re having a girl!
Jaime, I’ve been buying tights a size larger and that’s been working so far. There are maternity tights too, but they never come in anything but black and brown, and their pricey. Oh, and sometimes I wear thick wool knee socks, but that is admittedly not a look for everyone. ;)
As far as ordering glasses online without trying them on… I’m not sure I could do it! I bought mine at Lenscrafters (after trying on about 30 different frames).
I’m a long-time lurker and I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog. Would you mind sharing the name/designer of your curtain fabric? I’m sure you’ve posted it before, but I wasn’t able to find the info. Thanks!
the glasses suit you… and thanks for the link. I’m in th market for a new pair and just didn’t have the time to shop. Your dress is lovely and I love the colour!
Wendy, I made the curtains out of fabric by Moda. It was called “mom’s couch”, part of the Uptown line (now discontinued).
I’m at 21 weeks! Congratulations. I’m doing the “one size up thing” and its been working for me too. xo Abbey
1 love the new glasses and I love that dress, you look beautiful!!
What a beautiful website and home you have! I love it. I’m due to have our first baby on the 17th April, so I also enjoyed seeing your belly photos too!
Love the glasses and you look adorable in that dress!!!
