My Baby Shower
Saturday, a very rainy day here in Chicagoland, was the day of my baby shower!
The decorations were beautiful…
The cake was beautiful too… and delicious. ;)
I know that many of my friends and family don’t read the blog (“What’s a blog? Why would you write one?”), but I’d like to thank them all again for coming. Everyone showed such love and support, and we really have everything we need now, except for the baby!
And of course, a huge thank you to my sister-in-law for hosting the shower in her lovely home. Thank you, Portia.

Wow! Gorgeous baby shower!! Very exciting time for you :-)
Well at least you won’t run out of onesies. Congrats.
oh what a delight! please share what gifts you received. I need ideas for my sister-in-law! (;
Oh so pretty! :0) I’d love to know the brownish-rusty wall color of your Sister-in-Laws living room and around the fireplace. Love it!!

How cute! I love all the clothes pegged up – such a cute little detail! And the cake is just lovely!!
Even super pregnant you look so put together! By this time in my pregnancies I was very puffy and mean. :)
Aw, amazingly cute shower! I too, am super curious what the brown color on her walls is! I love it!!

I absolutely love the little onesies as decoration – what a fabulous idea, and so useful too! I’ll have to tuck that idea away to use some day in the distant future. :) Good luck to you and your growing family!
Beautiful homes must run in your family! :)

I love parties like these! Thanks for sharing the cute details!
Okay, someone has to ask! Where’s that cake from?
I absolutely love the decorations. I love the cream colored outfits all strung. It give it an antiqued vintage feel. So pretty! You also look great. I know how I felt, kinda like an oompa loompa but you look fabulous!
Oh, are the white/cream slipcovers on the dining chairs purchased or hand made? If you purchased, where did you find them?
Was that your gram in the red vest? (Sorry, I am so bad at names and I thought she said she was going to be a great grandmother.) May I adopt her? She was so sweet! She even gave me a hug good-bye.
Oooh I love a good baby shower. LOVE the tiny little clothes on the lines. So creative!
Beautiful shower! You’re a lucky girl!
Awww, looks like it was a lot of fun! The baby shower decorations are very unique and thoughtful, so original. Great to hear you’re all set with the exception of baby ~ soon, right?! How exciting, cherish it as it will FLY by.

Ideas for gifts??? I need some please!!!! *** (-:
What a lovely shower and home! (I love the name Portia, too, although I’m sure–as a Fiona–that she has had to spell it millions of times)
You look adorable, too. Love the green dress.
Your shower was beautiful. Isn’t funny how the ones closest to us are the least involved sometimes?? I can’t get my family or many of my friends to read my blog either…weird. Anyways Congrats. You have alot to look forward too.
Cute decorations! Congrats on the little one! :-)
What a wonderful idea to put the outfits on clothes pins!
It looks like it was a great turn out. Congrats!
I loooovvveeee the onesie clothing line and will be borrowing that idea for SURE! :-) Looks like a wonderful day. Yay for you…well deserved!
Sandradee, Cool Mom Picks just put together a baby shower gift guide that’s really good.
Amy, yes that was my grandma. How cute that she hugged you! :)
Cait, the cake was from Reuter’s bakery.
I’ll ask Portia what color her living room is. I know her couch and chairs (and the slipcovers) were all from IKEA.
Looks like a lovely shower!
I LOVE the decorations, what a cute idea with the onesies.
For all that asked… the paint color in Portia’s living room is “Kona” from Benjamin Moore’s Aura line.
I’m totally digging your green dress. I’m due at the end of june and am on the hunt for cute springy prego dresses. where’d you find this one?!
Very nice…
