Can you believe we’re more than halfway through December already? Whew! The shop has been keeping me so busy (thank you), I hadn’t had time to put together my monthly style post until now.
I’ve been feeling so frumpy lately. I’m not walking around in sweat pants and t-shirt freebies or anything, but I’ve still been feeling a bit blah. Therefore, we have bows! Ruffles! Flowers! Pretty Shoes!* Yummy color! Unabashed femininity!
*My apologies for picking a shoe that’s almost sold out, but it also comes in a lovely mushroom color and they’re on clearance for about $30 (score).
This is going to be my guiding principle for the holidays:

December 17, 2009 at 1:57 amI love your style updates – and this one is just awesome. I’ve been really impressed with Banana’s accessories lately. I found a great ring and amazing necklace there this season.

December 17, 2009 at 12:32 pmLove the pieces and the layout! But not sure about the total look? Can you post a pic of all together? Not sure about the tights with those shoes….

December 17, 2009 at 12:40 pmThe guiding principle is great! Reminds me of the book In House Weddings by Bohumil Hrabel, whose main character, dumped by her fiancee and without a work permit in post-war Prague, acts on advice to present herself like french pastry topped with whipped cream.

December 17, 2009 at 1:46 pmI love that sign, ‘Dress like a cupcake should feel.’ I too have been a little frumpy lately, but after being inspired by the lovely pretty yellow skirt, I will most certainly get my act together.

I’m a fashion designer, menswear and you absolutely get brownie point from me. I love reading your blog overall, not just your style posts.
Keep it up superwoman. :)

January 14, 2010 at 11:23 pmThe hair piece is my favorite ever! I have hair that resembles the models (not that I could ever get it to look like THAT) but I could probably do a sloppy pony and get a similar look. The shoes have just stolen my heart…

January 26, 2010 at 10:05 pmI have this dress, I can vouch for it and say it is VERY cute, not just in the photo. :D Great accessory choices!
P.S. Per Melissa M’s comment above about Big Bird – I wore mustard tights to work last week and was SHOCKED that my boss didn’t say the same thing. I was just waiting for it and it didn’t happen. Maybe he was too busy to notice. HA! (This being the boss who called my ankle boots “Fairy Booties.”)
