We needed flowers for Eleanor’s photoshoot, so she and I took a walk to the local florist.
If there’s an upside to Chicago’s six months of cold temperatures and dead-looking landscapes, it’s that when spring’s warmth and lush greenery arrive, we really appreciate it.

indeed.
and this spring feels a bit undeserved, given our unseasonable winter here in chicago.
regardless, it’s may.
perfection.
Winter was really easy on us this year.
I think you’re in Oak Park… I read a book about it recently and thought of you! It’s the fictionalized tale of Frank Lloyd Wright and his partner Mamah Borthwick, called Loving Frank. Can’t remember the author, but if you haven’t read it, check it out – it talks about a lot about the homes in the neighborhood, their design and first owners. It sounds like such a beautiful place to live.
What a beautiful area you live in! I do love Eleanor’s baby and stroller! My 3 year old and I go on lots of walks with our baby and stroller too. I’m just over in Iowa and I agree, we have had an easy winter, but nonetheless the spring trees and flowers blooming is fantastic!
Pretty lanscaping and love that you walked to the florist
Eleanor is too cute with her pink, glitter-y shoes. What type of flowers are those? The ones that you picked are gorgeous.
I’ve been planning a little photo walk myself through my little city of Santa Barbara. Can’t seem to find the right day, though! Love your photos.
So nice that you can walk places. I so miss living someplace where I could actually walk someplace. Driving is the only option here. :/
how lovely! this little photo set made me miss chicago so much and excited for an upcoming trip back home.
Oh! My old apartment building! I loved that courtyard tree.
