I didn’t put together a full recap of everything I wore to Alt (just the sequins), but I’ve been asked so many times about the dress I wore during my panel that I figured I ought to post about it.
(That’s me and Vivian Mansour of Ish and Chi. She came all the way from Australia! I’ve read her for years and years and was so glad to finally meet her in person.)
I wore the Cameo Printed Dress by Ted Baker, and it is awesome. If you get close enough, you start to notice how random the print is. There are cowboys, horse-drawn carriages, pennyfarthings, and a rabbit exclaiming “AH!” when you find him.
I wore it with black tights and black suede heels (similar), along with my Warby Parker Mallory glasses, an oversized round hammered brass ring (similar), and vibrant coral lipstick.
My peachy pink bag and striped laptop case didn’t really match (close enough), but if I were to pair a bag with the dress, it would be this one.
Bonus: If you drop chocolate on your dress the second time you ever wear it and then it instantly melts and stains, the pattern is so busy you won’t even notice! Um, not that I did that or anything.

Hey, I took that picture! That’s pretty fun. And the dress looked fantastic in person.

The dress and the suede heels are adorable. It’s so fun seeing what everyone wore to Alt. Hoping to make it there next year!

What is so funny, is that if I saw that on the website, I’d pass right by without a second look. But you make it look so fantastic, that I’m thinking of trying it… (What I’m saying, is the model has nothing on you.)

Such a pretty dress, I love it! I love dresses with patterns that are more intricate the closer you get. This one is fabulous!

I agree with everyone, you look great in that dress. Lovely indeed. I was checking out the dress on the website, as I love the design but I’m concerned about the length of the skirt (on me- being over 40). Does the length of the skirt hit mid thigh as it does on the model?
Thanks, I’m glad you had a wonderful time at the Alt Summit, you are really glowing!

It is short, yes. These short, high-waisted babydoll dresses that are all over the place do sometimes feel too young for me too (I’m 32), but I think the long sleeves and the color palette made this one more wearable.

I love that dress! I also have the invitation clutch in that brown color and it’s my favorite bag. I carry it everywhere with me and never switch it out, lol. I like that the heels that you wore are comfy, too. I can’t walk around forever in super thin heels, it kills me!

Those heels are great! I have very similar ones in grey by urban outfitters and they don’t hurt at all. Love these outfit posts…more, more, more!

That dress is so cool, I love the print!

This was the post I was hoping for! You look amazing, and it is such a fun pattern.

Very pretty! I also appreciate that you wore realistic high heels. I cannot wear those super-high heels, and it baffles me that so many fashion bloggers seem to claim they are comfortable.

I can do 3 inches and be fine all day. Anything higher (or spiky rather than chunky), and I’d better be doing some sitting.

Thank you.

Wow, this is such a cool outfit. If only that were a scoop neck then I’d be able to wear it. Still, it’s the kind of outfit that can inspire many variations! I love the olive and earthy tones!
Chocolate note: I am known for getting chocolate on myself whenever I eat it, usually on my face. One time I woke up with chocolate all over my jacket. Don’t know how I do it but I somehow manage to ;)
