Our Bedroom The Victorian House

Better Sleep (and a Giveaway!)

This post is sponsored by Sleep Number®.

I’m a more patient mom with enough sleep. A more creative designer, a better partner, a better everything. For me, getting enough rest means not pushing myself to stay up and do one more thing because if I can just get myself into bed at a reasonable time, I can usually fall asleep pretty easily. If you’re someone that has a harder time of it though (like my better half), Sleep Number has some great tips for better sleep.

Sleep Number Mattress

We’re loving our new mattress, and I’m pretty into checking the SleepIQ feedback that the bed provides. I knew from talking to Brandon that he doesn’t sleep as soundly as I do, but look at the difference in our data. And this is a big improvement for him! He used to get even less rest before.

Sleep Number SleepIQ data

Those numbers are from a few weeks ago, and it’s cool to see in the app how they’ve improved and changed over time. Brandon’s paying attention to his patterns and implementing some helpful sleep solutions, using that information to find better sleep.

I was thinking about it and I realized that we’re opposites with other furniture too. I love our teal couch in the living room because it’s deep and the cushions are so soft. He prefers much more firm seating, like our beige armchairs or the black and white sofa in the library. Having a mattress that adjusts on each side has been really great for us! I keep my side at 40 and he’s most comfortable at 65 — a big difference. It’s a fantastic bed for couples, and they can tailor the right solution for you in store.

Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach, VA, would be the closest to me. I’d like to be able to sleep in different positions and still have support, and be able to elevate my feet easily, if possible.

The closest location is actually a whole 3 minute walk from my work at the Countryside Mall in Largo, ha! I’ve had a few new beds over the years and I’ve yet to find one that doesn’t leave me tossing and turning at night, so I’d love the chance to try out a higher end mattress to see if maybe it would help my restlessness!

The Northbrook, IL store is closest to me. I sleep on my side and like a less firm bed, but my husband sleeps on his stomach (and somehow still snores lol) and prefers a more firm bed. We’ve had the same hand me down mattress for the better part of 6 years and are dying for a new one.

Geneva Commons is my closet store (take that Rockford!) I know I am restless when I sleep, and I’m often up and down. I suspect a better mattress would help me sleep longer, and the Sleep Numbers I’ve had an opportunity to try were very comfortable.

The Valley West Mall store in West Des Moines is the closest Sleep Number store to me. My fiancé and I invested in a new mattress about a year ago. While he falls asleep within minutes of his head hitting the pillow, I spend all night tossing and turning. Our numbers are clearly very different. Would love a bed that adjusts to me for a glorious, uninterrupted night of sleep!

It looks like I’m closest to the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. We’ve been eyeing a Sleep Number Mattress for the past couple of months and trying to decide if we can justify the price (we’ve had our mattress for about 10 years now – it’s time!). Winning one would certainly settle that dilemma!

The closest store to me is Easton Gateway in Columbus, Ohio! I don’t have many sleep issues (other than a baby who doesn’t sleep thru the night) but my husband wakes up every morning with a sore back. We even have a fairly new mattress but it just doesn’t seem to help. He’s been wanting a sleep number bed for awhile now to see if it will cure his back problems!
