We’re going to have another baby!
Also, I think our matching mother/daughter dresses are funny. ;)
This pregnancy has been less worrisome than the first, but I have been exhausted (and nauseous). I’m looking forward to getting a little energy back and feeling better as I head into the second trimester.
I’m due February 12 and Eleanor won’t turn two until April 29, so we’ll have two under two for a while. Soundsā¦ challenging! But it also sounds fun.

So happy for you guys! I am an “Irish Triplet” – my brother is 10 mos older and my sister is just under 2 years younger and I never knew how my mother stayed sane (maybe she didn’t) until a few month ago when we added 2 toddlers into our family. David will be 3 next month while Aubrey will be 2 the following month. And our oldest Emi is 8. It’s a lot of monkey-see, monkey-do in our household! Never a dull moment. Hope your nausea goes away very soon so you can have a blissful pregnancy getting prepared for baby #2!

Congratulations!! My two are 15 mths apart. The first couple weeks will be an adjustment. After that it will be perfect. Having the kids so close together is the best choice I’ve ever made. They are 10 and 9 now and the very best of friends (boy and girl). Plus you don’t hear “Mom I’m bored” quite as much. Because, they have a built in playmate. :)

Congrats! My 3rd baby was born on April 23. I’ve enjoyed seeing Eleanor’s monthly baby photos as she changed along with my little guy Griffin. Now we are due with #4 on Feb. 9. Our babies are just days apart. I’ll enjoy seeing all the nursery ideas you have. Since I already have a TON of baby stuff with this one being #4 I won’t be doing a new nursery this time. Congratulations! My two girls are 20 months apart and the youngest will be celebrating her first birthday this weekend. In the beginning, it is incredibly tiring, crazy, hectic, but it doesn’t last for long. By this time you’re a pro! I was worried that the first year was going to be tough, but turned out that after about six months, when the little one was able to sit up on her own, everything got a lot easier. She loves to watch and listen to everything that her big sis is doing and saying. And the older one is (most of the time) so sweet and gentle with her little sis. Congrats again, and looking forward to hearing if Eleanor is going to have a little brother or sister!

I’m so much more tired and sick this time around as well, but it could be the 4 and 2.5 year old boys running me ragged. The first six months with 2 under 2 are pretty rough, but after the little one starts sleeping a bit better, things get easier, and now my guys are (usually) great friends!

jolly ranchers candy helped me immensely with the nausea. i was so sick my entire pregnancy with #2. i kept them everywhere, in my pocket, car, purse, next to my bed.

I have a 2 year old daughter and I’m due with my second (a boy!) in December. We live in a 1,300 sq foot bungalow, and are currently debating how we’re going to switch rooms around to make it work (room sharing? keep them separate? upstairs? downstairs? it’s a puzzle!).

Congratulations! I am so happy for you! My baby boy is only 8 weeks old, and I am already feeling wistful about being pregnant again…I’m blaming it on crazy hormones right now. I can’t wait to see what the new nursery and Eleanor’s big girl bedroom look like in the future!

My sister and I are 22 months apart and I wouldn’t trade it for the world! I still get to be her big sister and set the pace but now that we’re older we get to go through some of the biggest life changes together (dating, marriage, children etc.) You’re giving Eleanor a great gift in a sibling!
Oh how exciting! My two are 20 months apart and it is a challenge but they are so close. They could not have more different personalities but really prefer to do everything together. I want a third but hate to do it now since they would be 6 and 8 years older.

Congrats! My daughter and son are also just under 2 years apart. It’s worked wonderfully! She was too young when he was born to be jealous and instead was just infatuated with a living baby doll. Now (at 3.5 and almost 2) they play together better than I could have expected.
We’re waiting another year or so for baby 3, but when we are ready, I’d love for my third and fourth to be just as close as my first two. I like the instant friendship it’s created.

I have two boys 18 months apart. They are now 4 and 5.5 and are finally good friends. It can be pretty hard in those early few months, but worth it in the end I think. As mums I believe we just adapt to whatever our circumstances. Enjoy and congrats!

Our first was a surprise & then 9 months later I was shocked to find that I was a little over 4 weeks along with our second!! The first couple of years are a bit difficult, but now that our youngest is about to turn 2, things are getting REALLY easy. In the end, I couldn’t be happier having our two little 17 months apart. :)

Congratulations on your growing family! My sons are just 14 months apart (now in their 20’s…seems like yesterday they were babies). They were so close they often felt like twins and after a couple years people would often ask if they were (the younger was tall and caught up to his brother quickly). It was great for them to always have a playmate so close in age. And yet they grew into two very different individuals each with very different interests and friends. It always amazes me.

My little girls are 14 months apart, and while the second was a complete surprise, now I am SO glad that we had them so close together. It’s good for Madeleine (currently 22 months) to have a playmate, and Ellie (8 months) is absolutely in love with and amazed by her older sister. Just wait until you hear both your kids giggling together, your heart will melt! Enjoy every minute of it!

I did it too. Mine are 20 months apart. It was hard in the early days, but they’re really good friends now. Use any family you can get your hands on to help in the early days. It’s fun and so worth it! Enjoy.

I’m two months into having two girls seventeen months apart. During my entire second pregnancy everyone told me how hard it was going to be. Maybe it’s because I exspected the worst based on those comments or maybe because my first was born 8 weeks early (which was extremely difficult compared to a full term baby)….in all honesty it’s been amazing! Seeing my two girls together is heaven on earth.
I’m so excited! you are due a week and a half before me!!!!! It’ll be fun to read about your experiences, hopefully you’ll have some clothes recommendations! I have no idea what to do :) haha.
