Yes! I found a very handy script for iTunes today!
My old iPod (3rd generation, and I still use it) has a LOT of music on it. 3363 songs, to be exact. Today I rejoice, for I found a script that imports all of my old songs into my (relatively) new computer.
Shuffle just got a whole lot better.

Nifty script, thanks! ^_^
Did you old computer die without warning, or why couldn’t your music be transferred over to your new computer with your other important files?
I see you have Bonnie Tyler. Good choice.
Yes, thank you. ;)
Honestly, I was just lazy about transferring files over. Brandon and I shared a computer for years (an OLD G4), but then I bought my own (a G5). I transferred my work files, but none of the music.
And that old computer actually did just die without warning a couple of months ago, but Brandon bought a new iMac and had them import all of the data for about $60. We still have the old computer in the basement for some reason.
Otis, Danger Mouse, Harry Belafonte, Deerhoof et al? Nice to know that it’s not just a beautiful interior that’s rocking Chez Nicole :-)
Nice tool! Plus, I’m glad to see someone else names their electronics. My iphone is Stanley. As in flat Stanley :)
Nice. :) Mine’s named Moxie.
I just wanted to pop on to say that my iPod’s name is LuLu too:)
You have a Hall & Oates playlist. :O
My mini ipod had a name. It was green and the name was a play on that. It was stolen off my desk at work a few years ago (so traumatic!). It’s replacement, a 30gig video, doesn’t have a name but I did name my shuffle Little Blue. Not very creative, I’m afraid.
I have a 2nd generation ipod and I still use it! Still works after almost 4 years : )
Ironically I was just at the Mac store today and was told my 5th generation iPod was pretty much dead after what, two years? Alas, poor Consuela.
oh em gee! My iPod is a lovely, five year old 3rd generation that I refuse to replace because I love how pretty and white it is. No gray click pad, only the clean, uniform white touch wheel. His name’s Hank.
It gets about 10 minutes on a full charge, but I really only use it in my car anyway. <3
hey! my cat is named Lulu! :) My ipod is named Betsy- my iphone is named Velma. Uh, why do we all have names for these things?? Just another brilliant little Apple hook-ya!
is that “put a little love in your heart”… by leonard nimoy? please say yes.
Yes.
