August turned four last month! I love that kid like crazy.
I took monthly photos of Eleanor until she turned two, and then switched to yearly pictures. Now I’m doing the same for August, and I’ll do it for Calvin as he grows, too.
I’ve been thinking a lot about these monthly/yearly photos. Expect a separate post on that later this week, because I think it’s a conversation that should happen, but not attached to my guy’s pictures. :)

I took a monthly photo of Eleanor in the same Eames rocker, in the same spot, every month for the first two years of her life. (I did the same thing for her little brother, August.) When I came to the end of my two-year project, I decided to keep the tradition going with yearly photographs instead.
Eleanor is five years old now. Here is her yearly photo.
We found out recently that baby number three will be a boy, and Eleanor will soon be a big sister to another little brother! She continues to be very helpful when it comes to name suggestions, but Super-Boy has been the best to date.
Happy birthday, Eleanor! We love you to Mars and back. (It’s much farther than the moon, you know.)

(I’m currently doing the same thing for her little brother, August, but in a different room.) I kept her outfit simple so that the focus would be on her as she grew, not what she was wearing.
