I was out of town for a few days on business. Fun business that involved a balloon welcome, but business nonetheless.
I had a few hours to wander around on Thursday, and again on Saturday. I felt the pull of San Francisco last time I was there, and of course this time around it was sunny and in the seventies. Sold. Plus, how could you not fall in love a little with a city that has such adorable public transportation?

March 5, 2012 at 11:24 amHey! I was in SF too (up from San Luis Obispo)! We went to Chinatown for dinner and then saw Mamma Mia… did some shopping and went to breakfast at La Boulange, of course. Hope you had fun and enjoyed our California weather!

March 5, 2012 at 11:45 amAh, San Francisco. My favorite city. I grew up in the bay area ‘burbs, and my heart belongs in San Francisco. And to catch it when it’s sunny and warm! What a treat. So jealous!

March 6, 2012 at 10:23 amOh, I wouldn’t expect Consolate-level dinners every night. That’s more of a once a week thing, isn’t it?

March 6, 2012 at 6:27 amI’d absolutely love to go and see San Francisco. All the big cities of the US have such a magnetism that only London has here in the UK and the travel bug in me is excited.
Lovely pictures, that lamp is adorable!

March 6, 2012 at 10:19 amHey Nicole, off-topic question: Have you seen the Business Insider article that questions the legal risk of Pinterest? I myself think it is irrational and silly, but I know you are a pretty avid Pinterest user who seems knowledgeable about such things, or are at least in the circle of creative professionals who I’d consider knowledgeable about it. Maybe I’m showing my ignorance by even bringing it up (I found myself annoyed by the people freaking out, deleting their Pinterest accounts, and doing their part to spread the terror), but just curious if you had any thoughts about it.

March 6, 2012 at 10:33 amI don’t think I’ve seen that particular article, but I’ve seen a whole slew of others. I can’t comment with any particular insight as to the legalities of Pinterest, but I will tell you that I’m still fine with them.

March 6, 2012 at 1:23 pmYou left just in time… it turned cold again (thank goodness)! But glad you had the warm weather while you were in town.
It is fun to read someone’s impression of your town… fun post.
And “affirmative” regarding the J. Crew pendants. They’re part of their new store package.
