Super Budget Edition: Nothing Over $35
The little grey dress is cute as it is, but adding a belt makes it even cuter. I’d add a handmade fabric wristlet and huaraches for pattern and texture, plus a dainty necklace and a big flower ring for interest. And get this… the entire outfit is under $150! Nice.

May 20, 2010 at 8:49 pmSo, from someone who has never belted a dress unless there was an attached belt… Would you take the tie belt off of the dress in favor of the snakebite belt, or wear both at the same time? Forgive me, I am totally clueless, but I love the price of this ensemble, and thinking a belted dress would look very chic, especially at that price!
Making it Lovely
May 21, 2010 at 8:53 amI’d wear the other belt instead of the fabric tie that the dress comes with.

May 20, 2010 at 9:26 pmThat rusty orange pops so wonderfully against the soft silver gray! Very chic look for not much cash…bravo!

May 21, 2010 at 10:45 amlove it. I have the same old navy dress in black, and it’s super cute and comfortable, but runs a bit big so if anyone is considering it, buy a size down.

May 21, 2010 at 12:25 pmLove it! You have a great eye for style. Keep them coming. I do have to say I love that it’s a budget post too! I love shopping at Target/H&M, it’s great for simple, casual wear and it’s great to see how you put things together.

May 21, 2010 at 2:44 pmI just love that wristlet! And I’m not normally a fan of gold, but that necklace is really lovely.

May 22, 2010 at 7:32 amLove! Those huaraches do bring me back to a certain era. Which is why I bought a pair from Frye (obviously a bit more pricey than the Target version) just a month ago and am in love. Now I have an outfit inspiration to go with the shoes!

May 22, 2010 at 5:22 pmI love the bag and the necklace… very cool! But I’m sticking with my “just say no to huaraches” values. ;)
