This bed remains one of my all-time favorite furniture pieces. I came across an older photo of our bedroom and it doesn’t feel like the same room. We were using our low, upholstered queen-sized platform that had worked so well in our last house. I hadn’t painted the woodwork yet, but I had painted the walls gray/blue. It was fine, but wasn’t nearly as good as what we have now (that feels really good to wake up to). Plus you know I love a room with pink. 💕 #thelovelyvictorian #makingitlovely

Design process! ✨ The first slide (with the snakes) is where I’m at today for our first floor. The next was an early idea while I was figuring out the direction (I still think it’s cute, but a little TOO cute), and the last slide was the starting point.

Speaking of wallpaper, we had extra rolls of @ralphlaurenhome left from the previous owners. The colors were perfect for the dining room, so I used some to line the back of the hutch. The shelves help hold it in place along with pushpins at the corners, so it’s easily removable should I want to switch it out. 📌 #thelovelyvictorian #makingitlovely

I want to wallpaper at least two more rooms. First floor bathroom, yes. Hallway or kitchen? Ideally, both. I’m still in the planning stage, but feeling excited and creative.

The dining room now, vs. where it’s heading. Maybe? I’ve already painted the ceiling and am pretty sure I’ve got the wall color picked out. What do we think of the black and white rug? It’s indoor/outdoor and definitely nods to my moth (apantesis incorrupta) inspiration, but I haven’t bought it yet in case I come across the perfect vintage rug.
