'F' for Fabric 'W' for Wallpaper Dining Room

The Wallpaper is Here!

It’s so pretty.

Fabric & Wallpaper

It looks good with the pink upholstery fabric I bought on eBay too. I’m going to put white curtains up instead of ivory, and I think the rug could stay (for now at least).

Fabric & Wallpaper

I was going to paint the ceiling the same color as the living room, but I don’t think it will look as good as I thought it would. Maybe white, gray (to match or a little darker), or pink?

It’s going to look great! I think gray to match would be pretty. No sense taking away from that gorgeous paper.

Funny, though, the birds and leaves are black and I thought it was deep navy online. Looks like you got black in your dining room after all. (Referring back to the IKEA rug).

I’d vote for a slightly darker shade of gray on the ceiling. It’d add just a little contrast.

    Lovely!

I wasn’t sure I liked that wallpaper (my taste runs more to geometry than birdies on the walls) but I’m digging how it looks in your space!

Trusting your instinct is all apart of being a designer, it is just a challenge for those that have to live with us, through all our incarnations! You did it, that paper is fabulous. I would love to see a pale ceiling – something like a pink sky at night, sailors delight and I would love to see some glorious pinky/ coral curtains in a taffeta, billowy and beautiful! Can’t wait to see it all complete.
Will you be hanging the paper yourself?

Yes, we’ll be hanging the paper. I’m not sure when we’ll do it yet though – I’m so busy these days getting ready for the National Stationery Show.

Drey, I love the pink ceiling medallion idea! Our fixture is rectangular though.

Shannon, thanks! Only the fabric came from eBay.
