The Target near me finally put out some of the Orla Kiely goodies I’ve been wishing for, so I picked up a couple of canisters for the kitchen. The cheery pattern is really cute in there!
I put this “Eat” sign above the fridge quite a while ago, but I hadn’t taken a photo of it until now…
My mother-in-law has the same sign in red in the family’s Wisconsin lake house. I bought mine from Feather Your Nest (though it looks like they have different word signs now).
And how cute are these little measuring spoons? I love the soft clacking sounds they make as I open the cabinet.

*gasp* Those measuring spoons are amazing! They’re loads better than mine, and I thought mine were particularly fancy.
oh Super cute! Even here in Nashville TN, those canisters were impossible to find. I got the very last set at my target. I wish the dishes weren’t plastic. :(
I have those measuring spoons too! They’re super cute, love the colors… just be careful, in my clumsiness of being prego I dropped the orange tablespoon and it broke in half. so sad.
Yes, I love this new Target stuff – the patterns are adorable!
I.must.have.those.measuring.spoons.
I just got the last small ‘Cafe’ sign from Feather your Nest! They no longer sell the ‘Eat’ one so I had to settle for ‘Cafe’ but I am still so excited to get it!
The measuring spoons look darling with your cabinet hardware. I love me some Anthropologie!
Okay, those canisters are too cute. I saw her line at Target the other day, but didn’t see the canisters. The kitchen in my condo is very contemporary: granite, light wood cabinets, stainless appliances… I have to figure out how to make something like that {way more MY style} fit into my kitchen.
Where are your cabinet knobs from? Those are lovely!
The knobs are from Anthropologie.
I can’t find them at any target anywhere in LA. it is sad. But i got some tumblers.
Thank you for posting a link to your Flikr page, I loved looking at the pictures of the Lake House. We just recently moved from Milwaukee to Southern California and are really missing the areas north of Milwaukee – especially the pine trees and the lake. What a beautiful house.
oh my goodness our target doesnt have these yet. sooo adorable! i really love them. they would be so fun in my kitchen or hey, anyones kitchen! how fun with the eat sign too! and great idea with the measuring spoons. we dont have a huge kitchen so this gives me terrific ideas! thanks!
Hello! I randomly discovered your blog the other day and have passed it on to my sisters and cousins! We’re HOOKED!!! You certainly make things lovely. We love your use of pink!
Anyway, I thought I would share my very recent blog with you. A challenge I’m working on currently and hope to turn into more!
Let me know if you like it!!!
Thanks!
Ann in Texas :)
I stumbled upon your blog a few days ago and WOW…I love every stitch. I posted about your amazing studio on my blog; because it’s just that fantastic. It’s given me hope that I can do things myself AND make it look good. Thanks, I’m officially a regular.
Ps I adore “pink loves brown” as wekk…a regular there, too!
I LOVE the melamine serving tray, but my Target in Cape Girardeau, MO didn’t have it. They only had a few plates and mugs. I tried to order it online, but they are only selling it at the store :-(
For those who have the ultra-cute measuring spoons, how accurate are they? I LOVE how they work, but want them to be functional, too :-)
Many thanks!
Argh. I meant to say, “I love how they *look*”…
I have just discovered your blog and am loving it!! Why, oh, why can’t we have Anthropologie in the UK? I visited one during a trip to LA recently and could have quite happily have brought the whole store home with me!
Oh those canisters!
I got the green pear apron for my birthday Sunday and am totally in love. I keep making excuses to bake so that I can wear it!
So jealous! I’ve been by my local Targets several times already and they STILL don’t have the canisters out.
Nice knife set!
I love the swing arm lights you have in your bedroom, but I need a hardwire sconce. Would you happen to know where I could find it, or if it could be rewired?
Thanks!
I love all this cute stuff Nicole!! As well as your whole house, I just ordered and received a print from The Black Apple after seeing how sweet and whimsical her work is through your postings, thank you for inspiring all of us home decor and design lovers out there! I gave you a thanks on my blog as well! Happy Tuesday.

I love all these things!! Thank you for the inspiration you provide when showing us all your projects and your house! I gave you a thanks on my blog for introducing me to The Black Apple whome I love now!
Katie
How beautiful!! Your home is truly a piece of art!
Thanks for charing such beautiful pictures of the lake house. For a second my mind wondered to a daydream place where nature, silence and beauty is everywhere. I love your blog, it’s so inspiring. I take a look whenever time permits (after kids in bed 2 & 3 yrs old; /work/family/housechores etc..)which makes me wonder…do people have housekeepers to maintain these lake houses spotless?
congrats again!

I think I may be the only person ever that doesn’t like the Orla Kiely Target stuff. :( But those measuring spoons! Swoon…
Love your blog! Those canisters seem to fit perfectly with your style!
: )
Love the measuring spoons! Well… I love everything actually, thanks for sharing :)
I really hope you read this, Nicole! I was just surfing thru etsy and found a “vintage” modern child’s chair–in light pink!!!–from a seller called vintagejane. Check it out! I immediately thought of your house!
As always your finds are a true delight! Your home seems so happy…
Love the knob on the cupboard!
I love those spoons! And the canisters are really irking me, as I want them, but can’t afford to shop right now.
Oh, and please turn your steak knives so that the blades are facing upward – downward dulls your knives!
Even before I clicked the link, I knew those spoons were from Anthropologie. As always, I’m very jealous we don’t have a store out in Hawaii. Your kitchen looks lovely.
What a lovely kitchen you have. The spoons are adorable.
How badly I want your knives… and those spoons… I should move to the US
Nicole, I’ve been lurking for WAY too long … thanks so much for sharing your life and lovely home with all of us. So much fun to see your pictures, your projects, your amazing “finds”. You are something else! Loved the pixs of the Lake House … I live next door in Minnesota and would LOVE to have a house like that to retreat to. Take care, nap whenever you can and enjoy the next few months before your life changes forever! (In the most wonderful way.)
I get more compliments on my measuring spoons (the same ones) than anything else in my house.
My lovely sister gave me those measuring spoons for Christmas, but mine are the “Baker’s Bliss” pattern, and I love them!
How I wish we had an anthropologie in Memphis…
The Orla Kiely items recently arrived at my Target too- I can’t decide what I want! I have to stop myself from buying all of it.
The cannisters look lovely, question for you – how good are the seals on them? Or are they better for storing food that is already packaged?
i love the little splashes of color here & there. adorable.
Oooooooh I am lovin’ the small, gray canister! Too cute!
BTW the drawer pulls on your cabinets are awesome! Anthropologie?
I love the *look* of those spoons, but I was horribly disappointed when I tried to use them. It’s impossible to level things properly, so they wind up being really imprecise — great for decorating, but useless for baking!
OK, I have to admit that I have the spoons more as decoration than function! I already had metal measuring spoons that I’ve had for years, and I usually use those. I just liked the color of the spoons so much that I bought them anyway. ;)
I love that Target stuff! I saw the tablecloths a few days ago but they were too big for my table. I went back today and they had the rest of the stuff! I picked up a plate and a bowl and now I can’t wait to go get the rest. The canisters are to die for.
I just picked up those two canisters also! They’re so fun!
I love those canisters! Oh, I think i need to get some!
I love the canisters! I saw them @ Target the other day & I think they look better in your kitchen than in mine!
I loooove the square plate that is holding your garlic!! I need those, and I need that pattern in fabric!!
Oh, I definitely understand succumbing to the pretty… and I certainly haven’t gotten rid of mine!
I walked past these in my target, but refrained from taking a second look. Now after seeing these pictures, I need to revisit! Loooove the measuring spoons.
i love the cabinet knob and spoons. so cute!
How have I not discovered your blog before? I love it.
I just found those spoons on Anthropologie the other day and fell in love! I am all about bright fun accents in the kitchen, and mine is filled with all sorts of brightly colored melamine pieces (measuring cups, mixing bowls, bright antique toys)… oh I love it!
Hi Nicole,
I just purchased the Orla Kiely canisters this weekend at my local Target. I’m curious…what are you using your canisters for?
Love the new additional details in your kitchen!
Jen
If you fancy some more Orla Kiely prettiness for your kitchen, these little beauties are on sale in supermarkets here again. Chock full of tea, too! (and going for ridiculous sums on ebay…)
Nicole, did you see this?

I saw a post about the owner of the shop and remembered your sign…thought you might want to know.
